The damn breaks tomorrow, so there's a quite but tense calm in the air. Besides the free agent bidding, keep an eye on players getting cut by their teams today and tomorrow. If we call report the various info and rumors we hear in the comments section, we should be able to track it all fairly well.
The ax apparently fell on former Rams TE Ernie Conwell, but that's of little concern to the Rams.
MSNBC has a top ten list of free agent bargains and busts. Two guards on the bargain list might be of interest to the Rams, Eric Steinbach and Kris Dielman, both are starters and signing one would give the Rams depth at center as McCollum would be freed up to focus on ball snapping duties behind Romberg. It's long shot for the Rams to bid on either one, but the cap room is there and the free agent talent on defense is not.
