When you're 0-6, power rankings really lack much interest. Unless you're a hopeless masochist who likes to see whether the Rams are at #31 or #32.
Here are the SBNation power rankings through the first six weeks of the season. As you can see, the Rams drop a spot this week, to dead last. That's appropriate given a game where 5 INT's spotlighted another 60 minutes of poor execution and injury replacements.
Define parity. You might consider the flood of midlevel teams - spots 4 thru 25 - that just can't distance themselves from the pack as parity. The best of the NFC just doesn't compare with the best of the AFC, or even the second tier of AFC teams. Who's the best in the NFC right now? That's anybody's guess. Neither Dallas or Green Bay have had a rough schedule so far. The Giants' last three wins came against Philly, the Jets and Atlanta, all under .500 teams. They're too high on that list for me, but who's above them in the NFC? Tampa? The Bucs have had an even softer schedule so far. It's looking like the AFC title match might be the best game in the post season.
