Jim Haslett has been informed he will not be the Rams’ head coach in 2009. There were also indications that the Rams might be making additional "cuts" in their coaching field as they zero in on their next head coach.

From the Post-Dispatch's Jim Thomas (Hat tip to tbell61). Based on this earlier report from the PD, Garrett may be out too, leaving Ryan, Frazier and Spagnuolo as the final three.

I don't see how the Rams as an organization can claim to be "moving ahead" by selecting their defensive coordinator from the past 3 seasons. I thought the "Martz as OC" story effectively ended Haslett's tenure in St. Louis.
