Is it a forgone conclusion that Isaac Bruce, Mr. Ram, Number Eighty, is on a jet to the promised land? The PD has it as the Top Story on their sports page, and ESPN speculated on the possibility too.

The pendulum of "the game" could swing back our way though, as the glowing green grass of the Ed Dome could appeal to free agent kicker Josh Brown, also known as the man who made the difference between 8 and 10 wins in 2006.

ARGH!!!

Linehan just took another step to becoming the worst Rams head coach ever. It is unexcusable for the rams to let go Issac Bruce, especially after a freakin 3-13 season! what kind of way is that to go out... If I'm not mistaken, he's the longest tenured St. Louis athlete period. And not only that, he's going to the hated 49ers to play us twice a year! Not only that, we miss out on Faneca. Oh great Josh Brown... he's a good kicker and all but he can't be better than Jeff Wilkins. And Jacque who?!

Sorry for the choppy quick sentences. I'm just kind of distraught right now.
Another depressing day in a downright miserable winter for the late 90's-2000's St. Louis sports fan.

and now we have lost faneca and bell is suppose to visit. what a joke. The excuse is we let go of our great players so we could sign free agents. A mediocre bell is suppose to visit, I guess we should be excited about the "slim chance" of signing a mediocre lineman. yee ha, we lost bruce and we might, but probably won't, get a mediocre lineman.

I think Bruce had to go. As a long time rams fan it hurt but we could not pay him 6 million and he would not restructure.

I am kinda pissed about faneca though :(

Josh brown is a good way to fill the kicker void but I hope we do something about our lines.

Bruce's play was no longer worth the 6 million. He was cut last year too. It happens on every team, every year. I hope he resigns, but that is the nature of the sport as VanRam said.
There was never any chance we could have gotten Faneca, sorry to break it to everyone. He was going to go for the biggest offer and the Jets had it. I'm happy not having to pay him 8-10 million in a few years when he is 36 and broken down.
The other guards we are looking at are good, young Starting offensive lineman. They are more than likely better than what we have.
If we sign Josh Brown, he is a top 5 NFL kicker in the dome and finally our kickoffs will go past the 10 yard line.

Bruce was too much $. No chance on Faneca, and imho, not worth that much money for an interior lineman. Finally, Wilkins was getting old and honestly was not worth the $. This is a business and is always about the $.
