Week 12 Open Thread - Rams vs. Seattle
Back to back sacks for Witherspoon, who finally looks like the defensive weapon we've wanted him to be. One minute in and it's all Rams D.
Seattle's gone pass crazy, and that opens the opportunity for the Rams improved rush.
Do I hear three in a row?
Sorry this is so bloody late. My mind is still in slowed down vacation mode.
Don't forget to visit Field Gulls for more on the Seattle perspective.

Injuries
still, i have a hard time seeing any more wins this season, but if they can play like this against lesser teams, who knows...

I would say the offense DID collapse.
2nd qtr - 3 possessions, 3 pts, 65 yds, 2 punts, 9 minutes of possesion.
3rd qtr - 5 possessions, 0 pts, 64 yds, 1 int, 4 PUNTS!!!, 11 1/2 minutes of possession.
4th qtr - 2 possessions, 0 pts, 46 yds (with a big phantom interfernece pentalty), 1 punt, 1 turnover on downs, 3 minutes of possession.
And it wasn't only Gus and his slippery fingers. The line vanished. Jackson was cmpletely eliminated in the second half. Frerotte was (and is) completely useless. If Bulger doesn't get banged in the head (which led to the goofy shuttle pass interception) they win the game going away.
But the defense looked great all day. They did the best with what they had and didn't let the injury to Pisa slow them much. Witherspoon is an animal when he's allowed to actually play. Although I was confused by the tactic of not covering Deion Branch in the second half. Seems it would have been beneficial to get a guy within a few yards of him from time to time.
