Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Ram's Fans PUHLEEZE...

Really.

Can you really get up in the morning and look yourselves in the mirror and be proud?  Are you proud of the grand tradition that is the St. Louis Rams?

A tradition that is what, 10 years old?  Blech!

Let me give you the reasons why I hate the Rams.

  1. Georgia Frontiere.  Former Vegas show girl (and whore) murders (IMO - I mean a former Olympic swimmer drowns accidentally?  What's next an biathlete is going to accidently shoot himself to death? BS!) her rich old husband.  Then intentionally turns the team to crap just so she can move the team to St. Louis.  Sound familiar?  Yeah, I thought so.  I case you didn't know, she was the inspiration for the movie Major League.
  2. Domed stadiums.  There is no reason in the world (except for maybe Arizona - ironically the place your team left you for.) to play football in a dome.  What's a matter?  Too wimpy to play outside?  Let's face it, without a dome you would never had won that freakin' Super Bowl.
  3.  Which brings me to my next point, that Super Bowl year.  By my count, you played on natural grass three times.  (At Carolina - 8 and 8, at San Fran 4 -12. and at Tenn.)  The only time you played a good team off of turf, you lost.  Then you play two playoff games at home and have to cheat to win the NFC Championship.  Yes cheat.  They robbed Bert Emanuel of a catch that would have lead to your doom.  A robbery so vile they changed the way catches are ruled and how instant replay should be used in those situations.
To make matters worse you then play in the Super Bowl on turf.  If that game was played in Miami or Los Angeles you would have gotten beaten again.

That's not football.   Then to watch that ex-whore holding up the trophy like she had done something besides sign the checks was disgusting.

4.  Lastly, Kurt Warner.  I've got nothing against Kurt Warner (except for that STUPID Thank you Jesus line.  What a jerk.  Here's a clue idiot, God does not care who wins otherwise Notre Dame would win the National Championship every year) other than they gave the MVP to a system quarterback TWICE!!!  How stupid can they be?

So enjoy that Super Bowl there Rams fan cause it will never happen again (unless you get home field advantage and then play the Super Bowl in a dome).

Come on Rams fans!
I know there are readers here.  I know there are those who have a tendency to ignore Chad, but you cannot let a slap in the face like this go.

As Bill Cosby would say CHALLLLLLLLENGE!

Domes
yeah, the Cowboys have been consistently bad through the years because they play in a dome.

ok
partially domed, but still, show us the stats that show the impact from teams that play in domed stadiums

You kidding, right?
Here is a list of teams that won the Super Bowl that play in a dome:

1999 Stl. Rams.

I won't list the 39 teams that won that didn't play in a dome.

Further more:

Here is a list of teams that are well know dome teams that have appeared in a Super Bowl:

1999 Stl. Rams

I won't list the other 79 teams that made it to the Super Bowl that didn't play in a dome.

Lions 0
Seahawks 0 (King Dome years)
Saints 0
Oilers 0
Colts 0
Vikings 0 (Since moving into the Metro Dome in 81)

See a pattern forming?

well
i don't think you have to worry about the Rams going to the Super Bowl again for awhile.

But, hey, thanks for your hard work in trying to take away from a fond memory for Rams fans in an otherwise bleak year!
