The Los Angeles Rams made a pair of roster transactions heading into the weekend according to Pro Football Talk in waiving WR J.J. Worton and LB Matt Wells.
The Rams signed Worton in mid-May to replace outbound WR Isiah Ferguson. Our Sean Wilkinson gave him just a 2 out of 10 chance to make the 2016 Rams roster in his installment in TST’s 2016 Rams Roster Preview (you can follow the whole series here and get caught up on the first 40 pieces here).
Wells was a mid-season addition in 2015 to the practice squad to offer some heavy depth at LB after Alec Ogletree went down for the season. QBKlass had him at 1.5/10 to make the roster in his roster preview issue.
We’ll have a roster look coming soon to prep for the 90-man limit as we head into training camp in a bit more than a month.
For now, the Rams have trimmed two off of the top clearing the way for more snaps amid the wide receiver and linebacker position battles to come.
