*UPDATED* Post Eagles/Browns Trade NFL 1st Round Mock Draft

With the Eagles recently making a huge move to get to #2 overall, it leaves my previous mock draft obsolete. The NFL Draft can be altered off a single trade or single free agent signing. Depending on the the acquisition and the team involved, the entire draft can change on a dime. The draft is after all the epitome of a domino effect. The Eagles just made a huge move and are now targeting their quarterback of the future, now a team like the Browns are picking #8 and have many picks added in the draft to work with. With this trade it is now 100% guaranteed that quarterbacks will go #1 overall and #2 overall, pushing some talents down the draft board, and thus shaking up the draft.

1.) Los Angeles Rams via trade w/ Tennessee Titans: Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State, 6'5 237lbs

Whatever the media is trying to sell people on, I am not buying it. Carson Wentz will be the pick here. Many media sources have claimed it is Goff but Wentz is the exciting mobile quarterback that will sell the Los Angeles fans on a new team. The Rams have not had a quarterback like this under center. Wentz fits exactly what Fisher is trying to do, he is already used to handing the ball off in a run first offense which was what was featured at North Dakota State. Wentz also has the mobility to be a nightmare for the NFL. Picture trying to defend the crazy end around's with Tavon Austin and Todd Gurley driving through the trenches like a runaway mine train and Wentz utilizing the play action game for big passes down field. Fisher has not been afraid to take a small school quarterback (Steve McNair, Alcorn State, 1995 Draft) and I don't think he is afraid to take a guy like that now.

2.) Philadelphia Eagles via trade w/ Cleveland Browns: Jared Goff, QB, California 6'4 215lbs

The Eagles have been mocked to take Carson Wentz ever since they traded up, they reportedly love him and strongly believe the Rams are taking Jared Goff #1 overall. Well the Rams are taking Wentz and the Eagles should be fine with a franchise quarterback in Goff. Jared Goff is going to be joining a quarterback depth chart that is loaded with money. Goff is set to be the backup behind Bradford whith Howie Roseman claiming Bradford is still the starter. Goff was an outstanding passer at California. He has elite pocket presence, poise and has tremendous touch. While rumors have been swirling of Sam Bradford being on the move, only time will tell. One things for certain, Jared Goff is going to be an Eagle.

3.) San Diego Chargers: Jalen Ramsey, CB/FS, Florida State 6'1 209lbs

For weeks now, I have felt like Laremy Tunsil was a lock to go to the San Diego Chargers. Now I am coming out with a change of heart. All I continue to see and hear is that Jalen Ramsey is the pick for San Diego. He does make a lot of sense. After the Chargers lost their star talent at Free Safety, Eric Weddle to the Ravens, Ramsey can come right in and play both Safety and Cornerback. Three might seem high for a safety, but Ramsey is a rare talent, the last safety that was drafted in the top 5 was Eric Berry, in the 2010 draft. He turned out to be worth it. The Chargers have seen plenty of Berry and would sure be fine with comparable production out of Ramsey.

4.) Dallas Cowboys: DeForest Buckner, DE/DT, Oregon 6'7 298lbs

Here is a guy not many have going to this team. Meet one of the most athletically gifted physical 'freaks' in this year's draft, DeForest Buckner. The Cowboys are losing defensive lineman left and right, and not to free agency or injury either. According to multiple reports all around the league, Randy Gregory and DeMarcus Lawrence both failed drug tests and now leaves Dallas with major holes on the defensive line. As a matter of fact that would leave the Cowboys with a line of: Tyrone Crawford, Cedric Thornton, Nick Hayden, and David Irving. Not quite the intimidating defensive line every team wants, thats for sure. The Cowboys can change that in the draft and while many will claim Bosa to be the guy he has been questioned about his off the field life and may not fit in as a defensive end in the Cowboys scheme. Buckner will give the Cowboys someone to lead their defensive line.

5.) Jacksonville Jaguars: Myles Jack, LB/RB, UCLA 6'1 245lbs

Gus Bradley came from the Seattle Seahawks, the 'Legion of Boom' style defense. Ever since he left, he has been trying to re-create that defense, and even brought in a former Seahawk, Chris Clemons. Gus Bradley, in his attempts to re-create the Seattle magic, has lacked one key ingredient. That is a star middle linebacker like the one he had in Seattle, Bobby Wagner. As serviceable as Paul Posluszny is, well that's all he is 'serviceable'. The Jaguars need a star in the middle of their defense. A new age linebacker, not an old school thumper. Myles Jack gives them immediate star power. He is a common household name at this point and would be exactly what the Jaguars needed to take the next step. All the reports of his knee being a 'time bomb' aside, you don't pass on a player like Jack.

6.) Baltimore Ravens: Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss 6'5 310lbs

The Ravens could be getting one of the best offensive tackle prospects in the last 10 years. Getting him at #6 should be considered a gift for the injury plagued season they endured. Last year they drafted pre-draft sensation Breshad Perriman to give Joe Flacco a weapon and prepare him for life after Steve Smith. Perriman however, never played last year due to injury meanwhile Steve Smith, Terrell Suggs, and Joe Flacco all missed large chunks of the season. Hopefully the Baltimore faithful can realize their gift has arrived in the form of pass blocking extraordinaire, Laremy Tunsil, who could end up being the best tackle since Hall of Famer, Jonathan Ogden.

7.) San Francisco 49ers: Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State 6'5 269lbs

The jury is out on what the 49ers are doing at quarterback, but we know that Jared Goff and Carson Wentz will not be in San Francisco to start their respective careers. What we do know is how as bleacherreport has reported the 49ers have an 'affinity' for Connor Cook but what about Paxton Lynch? I don't think it matters here, I think the 49ers have too much money committed to Colin Kaepernick and will not draft a quarterback in the first round not name Carson Wentz or Jared Goff. The pick is going to be Joey Bosa, who can step in right away and give them a day one starter on the defensive line.

8.) Cleveland Browns via trade w/ Philadelphia Eagles via trade w/ Miami Dolphins: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State 6'0 225lbs

The Cleveland Browns traded with the Eagles and received many picks in return to move down and select by far, the best running back in this class. Ezekiel Elliott can start immediately and will give Hue Jackson a fun weapon to use and help acclimate former rookie phenom Robert Griffin III. RG3 will win the gig and immediately be the starter with an elite running back prospect in Ezekiel Elliott lined up behind him. Hue could also find Paxton Lynch to be the pick here, but my thoughts are that they are going with Elliott and are planning on drafting Michigan State quarterback, Connor Cook at the top of the 2nd round. The Hue Jackson era is about to kick off with a boom.

9.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Leonard Floyd, DE/OLB, Georgia 6'6 244lbs

Thought for sure Vernon Hargreaves was going to Tampa? Think again, the Buccaneers absolutely had no pass rush outside of Gerald McCoy last year. They signed Robert Ayers, who had a very good year but is 30 years old. The Buccaneers have been reported to be in love with Floyd and this seems to be Floyd's ceiling in this year's draft.

10.) New York Giants: Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida 5'10 204lbs

Vernon Hargreaves will not have to wait long to hear his name called. He has been labeled by Chris Simms as 'The Best On An Island Corner In The Draft'. The man called 'VH3' will be ready to play day one. The Giants do have pressing needs and while cornerback as of now doesn't seem like a huge need, it definitely is bigger than most people think. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is coming off a great year but is 30 years old and while the Giants did just sign a young Janoris Jenkins, they don't have much depth behind those two. VH3 in the secondary would make an already intriguing Giants defense look even better.

11.) Chicago Bears: Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis 6'7 244lbs

Surprise! Not really, as I previously mocked Lynch to the Bears prior to this redraft. The Bears have since met with Lynch and have shown significant interest. Paxton Lynch is the 3rd rated quarterback in this class and has a chance to be the best. The Bears need to be ready for the future and I don't think Cutler is ever secure as the Bears quarterback for the long term. Of course behind Jay Cutler is David Fales so there is another reason the Bears absolutely could take a quarterback. Lynch appears to be the ultimate 'boom or bust' pick of the draft. Lynch will take time to develop and sitting behind Cutler could be beneficial. I know Cutler received a massive deal in 2014 but I am sure head coach John Fox wants his own quarterback and that will be Lynch, who compares physically similar to the guy Fox drafted in Denver, Brock Osweiler.

12.) New Orleans Saints: A'Shawn Robinson, DE/DT, Alabama 6'4 307lbs

With the addition of Nick Fairley the Saints have proven they want to fix the real issue on their defense, the defensive line. Last year, outside of pro-bowler Cameron Jordan there was nothing to brag about. This average D-line obviously had something to do with the secondary getting picked apart the way they did. The corners weren't amazing, but the lack of push the defensive line was able to get led to open receivers and blown coverages. Adding A'Shawn Robinson along with Nick Fairley to the line would be a massive, intimidating, and exciting improvement for the Saints.

13.) Miami Dolphins via trade w/ Philadelphia Eagles: Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State 6'1 199lbs

Miami swapped their #8 overall pick with the Eagles #13 for Kiko Alonso & Byron Maxwell. That will cost them dearly, as many reports have said that the Dolphins were targeting Ezekiel Elliott to replace ex-star running back, Lamar Miller. Momentum has been building for Apple to go in the top 15 and most importantly, to go to the right scheme. The Dolphins according to the Miami Herald, have done extensive work on Apple, and he is in play at #13. I believed last mock and still believe with this mock that with Elliott off the board and it being too soon to pick an offensive lineman not name Tunsil, I think Apple is the pick, as the Dolphins are just a flat out a mess at corner back.

14.) Oakland Raiders: Reggie Ragland, ILB, Alabama 6'1 247lbs

Having tackled just about every need this offseason, the Raiders will make their already deadly scary defense even scarier. As of now one of the only 'needs' is at inside linebacker where according to the Raiders depth chart, shows former super bowl MVP, Malcolm Smith and former 5th round pick, Ben Heeney. The Raiders could definitely use a new middle linebacker, and Ragland is as blue collar as it gets. An old school downhill thumper with the speed to cover Tight ends, Ragland, will be exactly what the Raiders want.

15.) Tennessee Titans via trade w/ Los Angeles Rams: Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame 6'6 312lbs

Jack Conklin has flown up draft boards, so not really a surprise the Titans are reportedly interested in selecting him after trading down from #1. Conklin kept both Bosa and Buckner in check in one on one match ups which is a ringing endorsement as these are two NFL level players. However, no way did the Titans think Ronnie Stanley would fall to them at #15. Stanley's stock has been falling ever since a report came out on bleacherreport that teams were questioning his love for the game and his work ethic. While these are things to consider, this helps push Stanley to the Titans. He has far too much talent to pass on here as the Titans were dead set on taking a left tackle prospect had they stayed at #1.

16.) Detroit Lions: Vernon Butler, DT, Louisiana Tech 6'4 323lbs

Vernon Butler is a mammoth of a man. The Lions have reportedly been doing their homework on him and he is fully in play at #16. This pick makes all too much sense, the Lions despite what anyone wants to say, have never replaced the losses of Ndamukong Suh or Nick Fairley. They traded for Haloti Ngata, but they have never filled the void left by those two talented defensive lineman. This is their chance, while most say Jack Conklin I think its time they filled their holes on the defensive side of the line and I believe this is the pick. Butler has been compared to the likes of Muhammad Wilkerson, the Lions would be very lucky to get a player of his magnitude.

17.) Atlanta Falcons: Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson 6'3 269lbs

The Falcons are absolutely going to love if Leonard Floyd falls to them at #17. Well for those Falcons fans I have good news and bad news. The bad news is Leonard Floyd is gone, the good news is, Falcons fans will be watching college standout Shaq Lawson on that defensive line for years to come. Lawson has been cleared by league doctors and is pushing to be a top 20 draft pick. Dan Quinn is a very defensive minded guy and there is no way the Falcons are going to go anywhere but a defensive player here. Shaq Lawson and Vic Beasley should be a nightmare to quarterback's for years.

18.) Indianapolis Colts: Andrew Billings, DT, Baylor 6'1 311lbs

Will someone for the love of god get Andrew Luck some protection? Nope? Okay then, seeing as the Colts have extreme interest in Andrew Billings I am going to assume this is where his stop is. Billings is a warrior, has the true mold of being a Vince Wilfork type player but yet he can still be seen chasing a ball carrier 50 yards down the sideline. He shows sheer force and desire to want to dominate, why is he falling so far? His combine was considered to be a bit of a disappointment, however Billings has the finesse of a speed rusher but the power of a nose tackle he will no doubt be a first rounder and that's all that matters.

19.) Buffalo Bills: Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State 6'6 308lbs

There is no way the bills let Jack Conklin get past them at #19. He has recently met with them, if that is any gauge in their interest. Obviously, Cordy Glenn is their franchise left tackle but at right tackle the Bills have a 2nd rounder who at this point could be considered a bust. Cyrus Kuondjio was benched towards the end of last season and the Bills seem to be ready to move on with their reported heavy interest in tackles this draft. Conklin as previously mentioned didn't have an issue blocking two of the best defensive lineman prospects in the draft Buckner and Bosa so he could be a very good pick here.

20.) New York Jets: Darron Lee, OLB, Ohio State 6'1 232lbs

I don't expect the Jets to draft Paxton Lynch like every analyst seems to think. The Jets lost Demario Davis to the Browns this offseason and needed help at linebacker anyway. Darron Lee is a little undersized for a 3-4 linebacker but is much too talented to pass up on. Even so, Lee resembles a guy that was considered undersized for a 3-4 linebacker who indeed plays 3-4 linebacker. Ryan Shazier of the Pittsburgh Steelers, with that speed and coverage ability the Jets would be getting a very good explosive player.

21.) Washington Redskins: Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville 6'1 299lbs

Rankins has been all over mock draft boards. He has been projected from anywhere to as high as #11 down to #31. Rankins was a little bit unfairly compared to All-Pro Aaron Donald, those comparisons basically put a target on Sheldon Rankins back. He was heavily scrutinized when he didn't run too well at the combine and because of that he is hard to project. I could very well see the Redskins drafting Jarran Reed of the Alabama Crimson Tide, but I like Rankins here to fill the void left by Terrence Knighton.

22.) Houston Texans: Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor 5'11 194lbs

The Texans have just given Brock Osweiler a lot of money and aren't ready for him to fail out of the gate. Houston has been intent on improving the offense and has already added Lamar Miller. They have one of the best wide receivers in the game in DeAndre Hopkins, now they feel like they just need a speedy guy to stretch the field. That will come in the shape of Corey Coleman who Bill O'Brien took huge interest in at the Baylor senior bowl according to Walterfootball.com. While Coleman does seem like he will have a hard time transitioning from a crazy college offense to seemingly a New England Patriots style offense in Houston. I believe Bill O'Brien has taken such a liking for him that he will believe in him enough to make this pick.

23.) Minnesota Vikings: Josh Doctson, WR, TCU 6'2 202lbs

Stefon Diggs came on strong last year as a surprise contributor. The Vikings, while they probably don't want to admit it, busted on a 1st round wide receiver in 2013 with Cordarrelle Patterson who is no more than a return man. Doctson is not Patterson, he is 24 years old, skilled, and has more experience against top competition than Patterson did when he came out of college. Doctson has risen up boards and the Vikings would be very smart to take him at #23. The Vikings haven't had much interest in LaQuon Treadwell who everyone seems to think is going to Minnesota. The Vikings had a private workout with Doctson and they seem to be in love with him.

24.) Cincinnati Bengals: LaQuon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss 6'2 221lbs

The Bengals let their #2 and #3 wide receiver leave in free agency and it certainly works out for them here with LaQuon Treadwell. While starting off the draft process as the #1 wide receiver prospect, Treadwell was given up on by many teams who consider him a late 1st or early 2nd round talent. Treadwell compares similarly to Alshon Jeffery who ironically fell in the draft because of his lack of straight line speed. Treadwell should be just fine falling to the right team here in which his duties will include lining up across from pro bowler A.J. Green. Good luck stopping those two.

25.) Pittsburgh Steelers: William Jackson III, CB, Houston 6'0 189lbs

I of course have had Mackensie Alexander here for awhile but it seems as though a recent dining experience with Steelers brass and William Jackson III has got me thinking otherwise. Jackson has that size that the Steelers love in cornerbacks, he has speed, instincts, and great athleticism. If you are a Steelers fan you should love this pick seeing as cornerback is a huge need and Billings is already off the board, Jackson is a no brainer here.

26.) Seattle Seahawks: Germain Ifedi, OT/OG, Texas A&M 6'6 324lbs

Seattle needs to protect their investment. Russell Wilson was mugged and assaulted last year week in and week out by opposing defenses. Wilson, according to Pro Football Reference was sacked 45 times! His whole career he has taken a beating, in just four seasons Wilson has been sacked 164 times which is just flat out horrible. Seattle, to make matters worse, lost the talented, all be it fragile, Russell Okung to free agency. Now they need to fill the holes on the offensive line immediately. Ifedi has reportedly a ton of interest from the Seahawks so nothing has changed from last time and I think this is the pick there.

27.) Green Bay Packers: Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio State

The Packers are rumored to love Conklin but I am sure they wouldn't mind if Decker fell to them. Decker might be a 'plug-in play' guy day one at left tackle or right tackle depending on what they want to do with Brian Bulaga. Clearly Bakhtiari isn't cutting it for Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers deserves a top notch line and I believe the Packers want to give it to him. With Jordy Nelson back this year it is time for the Packers to make that Super Bowl run again after a disappointing season last year.

28.) Kansas City Chiefs: Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson 5'10 190lbs

Mack Alexander and Marcus Peters. Wow, imagine those two at cornerback playing alongside each other. Well that is what is going to happen when the Steelers draft Will Jackson. The Chiefs we know love Paxton Lynch but it makes no sense to trade up that far and get a quarterback when this class is full of quarterback depth. If Lynch does fall there is no doubt he is the pick, but he is not going to and the Chiefs need to snag the best available and that would be Alexander here. The loss of Sean Smith is going to hurt if they don't fill the hole left by his departure. There is no better guy to fill it then Alexander here, who has been a lock down on an island type corner in college and compares to a smaller Darrelle Revis.

29.) Arizona Cardinals: Keanu Neal, S, Florida 6'0 211bs

The Cardinals have been rumored and linked to drafting safety Keanu Neal here late in the 1st round. Many teams are hoping the hard hitting Neal, falls in the draft but they are well aware the Cardinals are the team that will steal Neal late Thursday Night. Arizona let Rashad Johnson go and were trounced in the playoffs vs the Carolina Panthers, with the Honey Badger out for the year that put the Cardinals in a hole and showed that without the Honey Badger there is a need for more depth and Neal will lay guys out at the next level. Neal is going to also help out tremendously in the run support department.

30.) Carolina Panthers: Su'a Cravens, OLB/S, USC 6'1 226lbs

The Panthers were just in the Super Bowl, so clearly they don't have many needs. That of course was until the shocking turn of events happened when the Panthers let Josh Norman go and rescinded his Franchise tag making him an unrestricted free agent. Norman left for Washington leaving the Panthers with Bene Benwikere and Robert McClain as the starting corners on the outside. While I do believe the Panthers need a corner I also believe the love for Cravens is too much to let him slide to the second round. Cravens dubbed 'The Trojan Missile' is an absolute killer and he seems to have a nose for the ball. The Panthers whether they want him to play safety or linebacker seem to be all over Cravens, so this seems like the only way he gets in the first round.

31.) Denver Broncos: Jarran Reed, DE/DT, Alabama 6'3 307lbs

With the need of quarterback hanging in the balance I went ahead and made Connor Cook the Denver selection in my last mock draft, of course this one I realize that is not the case. Denver is being a little 'cocky' with their quarterback situation. There is no doubt however they have many options out there which is why I think they ultimately go Jarran Reed to play on the line. I am well aware the Broncos signed Jared Crick but there is no way anyone can be comfortable with him starting on that line. They need to rebuild after losing Malik Jackson to Jacksonville. Reed can play as a 3-4 defensive end and that's exactly what Denver wants. Reed has gone way earlier in mock drafts but I think if any defensive lineman falls its going to be Reed and its not a bad fit for him to go to Denver.
