So...that happened.
That's all I can really say. The Rams reverted back to classic Rams on Sunday, giving up easy touchdowns (#CLAMPSEASON) due to blown coverage, a lack of effort execution on offense and a ton of shitty coaching.
The Quick Five
Greg Robinson, LT Let's start with the negative. Robinson looks lost. If the line wasn't in such bad shape, he wouldn't be playing (at least not at LT). Robinson appears to be trying to improve, but it isn't translating into anything on the field. He was called for another holding call and continues to lead the league in that category. The most disturbing? His complete regression as a run blocker. On more than one occasion, he completely whiffed on blocking anyone at all. Not good. *This is the guy Jeff Fisher drafted with the highest pick he's had while coaching the Rams, who was supposed to anchor the offensive line. |

Nick Foles, QB Nick Foles was not this bad in Philadelphia. Whatever has happened to him since last year has completely destroyed his confidence. Awful throws, terrible decisions and a complete lack of poise contributed to him getting a second chance and throwing it promptly into the garbage. *This is the guy Jeff Fisher traded for to lead this team to the playoffs. |

Janoris Jenkins, CB After playing lights-out for weeks, Jenkins fell back to Earth against AJ Green. The most memorable of which was a play where AJ Green could have crab-walked into the end-zone due to a blown coverage. Is that effort or execution? At this point, it's too late to say Rodney McLeod and Janoris Jenkins are 'young and just aren't on the same page yet'. It's been four years. This shouldn't happen - ever - on a defense that wants to be considered one of the best in the league. |

Tavon Austin, WR Austin is never going to replace Torry Holt or Isaac Bruce. But as a change of pace back, he's quite capable. I'm not sure why they don't get him more involved in the traditional passing game (BUBBLE SCREENS FOR DAYS), but that's why Fisher and Cignetti get the big bucks and I do this. Hopefully Welker can teach Tavon a thing or two about moving the chains. If Brady had Austin? I can't even begin to imagine. |

Jeff Fisher, HC Is Jeff Fisher angry that the media is finally calling him on his bullshit? Seems like it. But he shouldn't be. He doesn't have a leg to stand on. He's gone through five coordinators, signed free agents who have contributed zero to the team merely because he liked them in Tennessee and has unbelievably regressed the offense to the absolute worst it has ever been in his tenure. Would it surprise anyone that the Rams don't win another game this season? Didn't think so. It's going to be a long December. |
