The Rams' injury list is growing.
On Sunday, the Rams saw starting QB Shaun Hill (...sure), DE Chris Long and G Rodger Saffold both exit the game early due to injuries. Now, at least one of them will be sidelined for the Rams' next game against the Buccaneers and at least another beyond that.
Jeff Fisher announces Chris Long (@JOEL9ONE) will have surgery this week and miss at least "a few" games.

Welp. That's how a 97-regular season game streak ends I guess.
Fisher said after the game that Will Hayes will be the first to step up in Long's absence. Alex Carrington picked up some week one playing time, but you have to wonder if this opens the door at least a crack for preseason standout DE Ethan Westbrooks.
Nonetheless, for a team that suffered a loss as complete as the one the Rams did on Sunday, this isn't the kind of news that helps marshal hopes in the other direction.
(UPDATED)
