Players that stood out in the Green Bay Game.

Hello, gents. I haven't posted a article since, well I've only posed one since the last review of the green bay preseason game last year. That being said, it's great to be writing here again. I was again in attendance this afternoon to watch Green Bay and St.Louis clash on the turf at the Edward Jones Dome. Just like last time, the stadium echoed with, "Go Pack Go", several times. Loved the feeling the chant made, not going to lie. But without further ado, it's time to put the spot light on some Rams players,

Stand Outs

Cody Davis

Cody Davis had a much better game this week. He had some nice moments in coverage. Plays went elsewhere because he had his man covered. He also had a nice fumble return and several nice tackles. It's hard not seeing him make the team with his additional value as a special team contributor.

Greg Reid

He had some nice moments in coverage, knocking away a pass or two. He also had a nice hit and tackle and just made his presence known and his name called on the speakers. I like the guy. He can hit.

Greg Robinson

He had some nice blocks. But what was most telling was when the atrocious back up OL went into the game, the ball would be snapped, the line of scrimmage would be moved back by the defensive push. Except for Robinson, who would be holding his assignment from where he started. I am not a fan of picking him. But at least he is showing promise.

Ethan Westbrooks

This guy became my favorite undrafted player this year. In a game where we were not getting any pressure at all on the opposing QB. This guy had some push and made plays. He came in after Chris Long. He moved up to the SECOND STRING. He had four tackles and one sack. I saw his two tackles for a loss back to back. He beat his man, pushed into the backfield and stuffed the running back. Then on plays where he did not make the tackle, he stacked up his blocker into the running lane, stopping the runner and letting other players finish him off. In a game with little pass rush over all, Westbrooks stood out. I want him to have the final roster spot on the DL.

DUDS

Rams Back up O-Line

Seriously, the Packers had seven sacks on the Rams and none of them were on Bradford. Our Quarterbacks were running for their lives and the running backs had to fend for themselves as well. I was really disappointed. We are one or two injuries away from watching Sam Bradford suffer the same fate as Mark Bulger. Let that Sink in.

Tre Mason

Many carries, few yards. I saw a hopping cut after he would receive the hand off that I know well. I saw a young Steven Jackson do it many times. He had a few good runs. But I was not a fan of the pick at the draft and he has not eased my fears.

Michael Sam

Besides his nice 10 yard sack. Sam was really not too good. He was pushed off the ball several times by one blocker. And while he showed a nice first step and quickness, he was blocked away from the plays or allowed up field with relative ease. I don't see him catching the last roster spot unless he breaks out in spectacular fashion in the last two games.
