The Way Too Early Rams Roster

Let's cut (Get it) right to the chase

53 Man Roster: (Players Listed in Depth Chart Order)

QB: Sam Bradford, Shawn Hill, Garret Gilbert

It is almost impossible for Sam to lose his job.

RB: Zac Stacy, Benny Cunningham, Tre Mason, Isaiah Pead

Zac Stacy has the starting job but the backup job is a battle. Benny Cunningham beats Tre Mason because of his experience of the offense, but Tre can win the job during the regular season

FB: N/A

Corey Harkey is the hybrid TE/FB but he is listed as a tight end.

WR: Kenny Britt, Chris Givens, Tavon Austin, Brain Quick, Austin Pettis, Stedman Bailey

I didn't count Stedman bailey because of his suspension but Austin Pettis and him will battle for reps when he returns. Kenny Britt dominating in training camp puts him at the top. Chris Givens is ready to return with Sam Bradford at quarterback and other offensive threats opening up space for him. If Brian Quick excels in the preseason he will take reps away for Britt.

TE: Jared Cook, Lance Kendricks, Corey Harkey

Jared Cook will play better than last year with Sam Bradford back and Lance Kendricks will perform better with Sam Bradford and a running game. Corey Harkey will be the primary tight end.

OT: Jake Long, Joe Barksdale, Roger Saffold, Greg Robinson, Mike Person

If Jake Long is healthy he has the LT job locked down but if he is recovering look for Joe Barksdale to battle Roger Saffold for the spot. Greg Robinson and Mike Person are back up tackles.

OG: Roger Saffold, Greg Robinson, Davin Joseph, Brandon Washington, Barett Jones, Travis Bond

Roger Saffold and Greg Robinson are almost guaranteed starters but if an injury occurs Davin Joseph in solid depth. The other backups will fight for playing time and position on the depth chart.

C: Scott Wells, Tim Barnes, Barrett Jones

If Scott Wells is healthy he has the starting job, but Tim Barnes played decently when Wells went down. Barrett Jones has had a year to recuperate from and injury and should be ready to fight for a backup job.

DE: Robert Quinn, Chris Long, William Hayes, Eugene Sims

I don't have to talk in depth about any player because the starters Robert Quinn and Chris Long are proven commodities that can only improve with Greg Williams. The backups William Hayes and Eugene Sims could start for some bad teams.

DT: Michael Brockers, Aaron Donald, Kendall Langford, Alex Carrington, Matt Conrath, Ethan Westbrooks

Defensive tackle played good last year but lacked depth. The fact that Kendall Langford is no longer starting just tells you how much defensive tack depth has been added.

OLB: Alec Ogltree, Ray-Ray Armstrong, Jo-Lon Dunbar, Darren Bates,

Alec Ogltree is the best OLB on the team is bound to break out this year. I believe because of Jo-Lon Dunbars off field issues have won Ray-Ray Armstrong a starting job.

ILB:James Laurinaitis, Will Witherspoon

James Laurinaitis is the starter but the lack of depth cause the Rams to sign Will Witherspoon.

CB: Janoris Jenkins, Trumaine Johnson, LaMarcus Joyner, Brandon McGee, Marcus Roberson

The three starters are set in stone but the backup competition is a war.

S: T.J. McDonald, Rodney McLeod, Maurice Alexander,

The safeties are all interchangeable.

Special Teams: Greg Zuerlein, Johnny Hekker, Jake McQuaide

This core of special teams are guaranteed a roster spot.

Practice Squad: Michael Sam, Greg Reid, E.J. Gaines, Sean Hooey, Kaddeem Jones, Trey Watts, Michael van Dyk, Matt Daniels

All the practice squad players show promise and in a year could make the team or replace a player with injury.

All in all the Rams are going to have a little competition in training camp.
