...and the first game to count is still 12 weeks away. Starving for my rams to go head to head with an opponent, finally proving that they are on the right track after years of fading away in the cellar of the NFL. I want this season to start so bad.
I don't want to rant about how we gonna go 10-6 or 11-5. What I really want is some quality games in the arguably toughest Division in Football. I want to see some shockers, like last year against the Colts, Texans or Bears. I want to fever on the edge of my seat against Seattle, where the last play of the game wins or loses. I don't want to see blowouts though, one per year is okay (usually Dallas), just not against divisional foes.
As an outsider living in a place far far away (Switzerland, aka Sweden in the US) I don't get my daily Football fix from TV. I have to gather all the information on the internet, and TST has helped me a great deal getting my daily news from my favourite team. So thank you very much on that behalf TST!
So the number of people talking, or even knowing about American Football in Switzerland is virtually zero. There's my brother (who brought me to Football, and a diehard Steelers fan), the husband of a former co-worker of mine (huge Patriots/Tom Brady fan) and an actual co-worker (big Niners fan). Sometimes I feel like I'm the only Rams fan in my Country. Lastly I often got the short end of the stick when talking about Football. Feels like that last big Playoff splash is a decade ago (well isn't it?) Everyone gets new, shiny Stadiums or renovations like spa-areas.
For my part, I am and allways will be a Rams fan. The Greatest Show on Turf, Faulk, Bruce, Holt, Pace, Warner and other players like Atogwe, Archuleta, Dahl (Harvey, not Craig) SJax. I'd love to see them play in a modern stadium, with a crowd dressed in blue and metallic gold, and once in my lifetime I will fullfill this dream (probably not in the Ed Jones Dome).
I want to see the rams win again, and only if it's to just rub it in the face of all the doubters.
