While I'm not usually a fan of trading down, this thought just came to me.
What if we swap with Atlanta, getting the sixth pick in the first and the 37th pick of the second? That gives us four picks in the first two rounds: 6 and 13 in the first round and 37 and 44 in the second round. Let's also assume, although some don't think it's likely, that Ray Ray is, in fact, moved to safety.
1.6 - Mike Evans
1.13 - OT of your choice ( Lewan, Matthews)
2.37 - Trade to TB for Mike Glennon. Sources on NFL.com indicate TB will make this trade for a second rounder; Glennon, by the way, started 13 games last year, is 6'7", threw 19TDs, with 9 picks and is better than any QB coming out this year.
2.44 - BPA (WR/G/LB/OT) - At this point, it doesn't much matter whom we pick; we've already secured a stud WR, one of the best young QBs in the league, (who by the way is a lot less expensive than Bradford and provides us with tons of options, both now and in the future) and a stud OL to protect him.
If we could make this work, I'd jump for joy and sing the Pharelle "Happy" song for a week.
Thoughts? (About the football, not my potential jumping and singing).
