Hello fellow ramaholics and ramheads! Since we're in the most tortuous part of the offseason, where our fan activities center around speculation and salivation as we try to visualize the the Greg Robinson pancake specials and the pinball machine high score sack totals of the defensive line "Death Star", I would like to propose a bit of housekeeping in the form of a minor social pact here at TST.
In addition to the litany of fantastic articles our dedicated writers and fanposters publish every single day, one of the mainstays of this great site and perhaps the most popular are our prolific game day threads. They're fiery, captivating, (sometimes devastating), and full of the occasional whackadoo craziness we've come to love and expect- Just like a Rams game!
However, and I'm about to get so nitpicky here, there's one group I think we could all collectively do a better job of calling out. You know who I'm talking about. The people who, following every turnover, touchdown, or big play to the detriment of the home team, profess with reckless abandon: "EFF THIS ESS I'M SO DONE WITH THIS GAME THIS FIRST QUARTER WAS A TOTAL DISASTER BYE GUYS".... only to pop back in three plays later with a "HELL YA QU1NN"
Look, I know I'm nitpicking big time here, but it's just kind of pathetic. The worst I can remember was a poster certainly to remain nameless, who declared he was so sick of the game that he was leaving...four times... IN THE FIRST HALF...in a game we ended up winning...
Obviously I'm not looking for a ban or actions from the mods, since there are clearly no rule violations, but rather a collective shaming and calling out on their nonsense, a communal 'check yoself before you wreck yoself'. Look, I get it. It's football, we're all very passionate about the boys donning the blue and gold. Heck, I've even let slip some four-letter words that were not "love". I'm just saying, when you pitch a royal nutty each week consisting of temper tantrums and storming off, maybe go watch the game away from the computer?? Because you make yourself look pretty silly when you always come back. Kind of like Robin Arryn in Game of Thrones last week when he went all Godzilla on Sansa Stark's little snow sculpture.
So who's with me for calling out the TSTempertantrum crowd?
