"The Oprah Winfrey Network will broadcast a documentary series on St. Louis Rams rookie defensive end Michael Sam's efforts to make the team as the NFL's first openly gay player."
There are some comments on the "hard knocks" article here on TST that translates great with this news:
"I'm right there with you, BUT Sam is NOT about the fame. The MEDIA is promoting it by asking him the most stupid ass questions. He’s sick and tired of it all as he mentioned several times in his presser. He just wants to play football and let everything else go, including his sexuality." -Merlin&Deacon
There are many comments near to that tone in Sam's defense. Here are the facts: he could have told ESPN to turn off the cameras after he was drafted. He could have turned down this new deal to focus on football. He could have NOT sended the tweet of cake-on-face smooching after ESPN did turn off their cameras. Im sure many people in here want to sympathize with him, but he is a distraction. And he will continue to be a distraction, because that is what he WANTS to be.
Im not fooled, and im not a hater. Just WAIT until training camp. Should i go ahead and guarantee Hard Knocks? Cause the circus is already here.
