Long Off-Season Finally Coming to an End

Hello my fellow Rams fans and TSTers, i have many things on my mind since i havent been on here all offseason pretty much, but boy oh boy do i have a lot to discuss. First off i`d like to say im so glad about Walton is gone, and Williams is ready to fire this defense up like it was suppose to be. That whole zone, 5-10 yards(mostly 10) off WRs on a 3rd and 1, it just made absolutely no sense, but with Williams aggressive, blitzing style defense fits us as a whole way better. From benefiting JJ and Tru the most, they are up in your face man to man press CBs, TJ coming to lay the wood down, or Tree blitzing more his defense will propel us into the top 5 we are just so close and he
can make that happen.(especially with the draft, more on that later). Also im exceptionally happy i wasnt on here for the Sammy B debacle because we all know that is the biggest story or debate for stirring up trouble/drama,(we all know my stance on Sammy B) i just think we gotta give him one more year to prove his worth because he played very great before he went down with the ACL, so i wont rule him out as being our starting QB for years to come.(Besides do you guys really think Manziel,Bridgewater could give us the best chance to win now)? Sam B has everything you want in a QB besides that fire in his belly like a Tebow, Manziel, Rodgers, cutler but that doesnt make a leader just cause you scream and yell, i believe this year Sam will lead with actions like he was last year til the injury. We all know in our hearts he gives us the best chance to win now, not some Rookie. On to the next subject at hand i want to discuss and that is what i liked about some of our offseason signings. Reid was a risk but IMO well woth ot because he gives you a difference maker on STs and also can fight for PT at slot corner its a win win with little money guaranteed on a Top Prospect when he came outta HS. Hill is a more than capable Backup and would serve nicely if Sam were to go down with another injury,(but i believe Sammy will be healthy all year and going to shine). Britt is a camp body like most have said but if Fish has taught us anything its that he can make the most out of someone who many think have fallen off their horse one to many times so watchout Britt could breakout, but my Favorite signing was Carrington he not only gives us depth, he gives us a versatile player who can play inside or out on the defensive line. Somewhat the same role as Eugene Sims plays right now for us, can either play DT to stuff the run, or DE to rush the QB, talked with a couple friends who happen to be Bills fans and they say when healthy he can be a key contributor especially to an already Stout and BEAST dline group.(more on that later) Now lets get to the real nitty gritty part of the offseason THE DRAFT!!!! I absolutely thought this was the Best draft we as Rams fans have had in over a Decade plus, and for Snead Fish i gave them a A++ for the 1St round and a Solid A for the overall. When we can get a Big Ugly like GRob and than a Stud in Donald with our first two picks you cant say enough good things about that. GRob easily makes us one of the best run teams in the league and should be a sure fire top 5 run blocker once he steps on the field as a rook. With the help of the best oline coach in the league he should be an all pro by year 2 or 3 because Paul B is the man when it comes to coaching lineman. The Donald pick i was secretly waiting and wanting the whole draft process, i mean when you can add a run stuffer, pass rushing machine like him you dont miss out on that oppurtunity. He is easily the best defensive player in this draft just to small but easily had the most consistent, best 3 years of any defense player to come out(i mean look at the stats), 28.5 tackles for loss and getting double teammed for 3 seasons proves he wasnt a one year trick pony. Adding him to an already stacked D-line is unfair for the league but great to us(he was the last puzzle piece to the Beat Defensive Line in Football). None of us rams fans couldve drawn up a better scenario than what happened, maybe a trade with Buff(i know many who are mad at that). The secound was nothing short of amazing either the one other player i wanted was Joyner and look who they decided to trade up for to make sure he was a ram. He gives the Defense what we obviously were lacking all last year and that is someone who can play centerfield for the Deep pass or come up to the line physically to play slot CB, this is exactly what Joyner brings to us. He solves two problems with one pick getting a versatile player like joyner takes care of two huge needs on this team and maybe he can light a fire under reid to keep him out of trouble so that is huge when you add former teammates(look at TA and Studman). With him Donald, carrington i can see this unit eclipsing the Top 5 mark very easily and make it interesting with that sack record, Williams has always been the key to that success and now that he is in control who knows where we can go and how far. This coordinator ,with this dline their is no telling how we can do(SB run like NO) anything is possible especially when we wont have to get pressure from blitzing all the time like they did. Quinn, Long, Brock, Donald maybe the key to the Playoffs and how well they can get to the QB again this season. Also want to talk briefly on Mo, Gilbert, and Sam they all will contribute in some way especially depth wise and Sam will bring some media attention to the Lou. I had a feeling Sam would be drafted by us, went to Mizzou so only fair to give him an oppurtunity and glad Fish thought he could help out and wanted to be part of this. The press will be covering us alot but not only cause of him its because we will be Winning alot this year rams fans, defense willbe fun to watch and hopefully Sammy B makes the offense enjoyable too. After all said and done closing the draft chapter, i gave Snead and Fish a very well deserved A, i mean what more can you say they easily made this draft the best in their short time here with the ram and brought in at least 4 key starters to this team. With the little cap space and money they had to play around with today i can say im very pleased with how the offseason turned out, Demoff is amazing with his knowledge and cap situations, one hell of a man when it comes to cfunching numbers(not sure if he`s better than our own Dubs we all know what kind of cap wizard he is). With that said i`d like to give a few final predictions to the starting lineups, record and camp casualties. First off i`d like to start with the Lineups with draft picks included Offense- QB-Sammy, RB-Stacy, 3DRB-Mason, WR-Givens, WR-TA, FB-Harkey, TE-Cook, LT-Long, RT-Barksdale, LG-GRob, RG-Saff, C-Wells(til Jones takes over in my opinion). Defense- DE-Quinn, DE-Long, DT-Brock, DT-Donald, MLB-JL, ROLB-ATree, LOLB-Dunbar, CB-JJ, CB-Tru, SS-TJ, FS-Joyner. Those are my starting lineups come week one on both sides of the ball but before i het to the Record i think we could have at the end of this season, i`d like to say a couple things about what the Rival NFC Best competitors did in the draft only two quick takes. 1 im very upset that the Seachickens took my man Paul Richardson, i have been on that Bandwagon all offseason (just ask LA Champ, he showed me his film) so i was upset they took him away from me and kept him in the division. 2 was that the 9ers took two very good players, most rams fans wouldve wanted to see us take in Ward and Hyde, i am more mad about the Hyde pick becuase we got Joyner. I was saying before the draft Hyde was the best Running Back in this draft class and to see those RB stealing whiners take him was a blow to the gut, but Mason will be a hell of a third down back you can bet that. I just hope all our Rivals watched and learned from what Fish Snead did in the draft because at this very moment im not sure if Kaep, Wilson, Palmer will make it out the game better yet a first quarter with that dline flying after them, we were made a very serious contender in this draft and with this unstoppable dline. Last but not least its the all mighty picks for the upcoming 2014 season, i thought about this alot over the past couple months, weeks since the sxhedule has came out and i see us going 11-5(wanted to go 12-4). After a strong offseason, the best draft we have had in years im sticking with 11-5 making the playoffa and running into SEA on a collision course for a 2010 rematch of playoffs or bust and this time we come out on top. Sammy B has all the weapon he needs this time, williams is back in charge of the defense and that will alone give us 5-7 wins on our d. We will be tied with the Sea going into week 17 but this time its for home field advantage and i say we get Revenge and kick their ass at home and get into the playoffs for the first time in years, i just have uch high expectations from the draft and offseason we had and all i saw our nfc west opponents doing was losing pieces, getting into trouble or just not getting that much better but with us we got our QB back healthy, defense coordinator who fits out scheme better, a A+ draft class and the bet dline in all the NFL. Im excited to see where we are able to go and do this year its going to be special when we are hoatinf a Playoff game in the Lou...Lets Go Rams to the Playoffs 2014!!!! Thanks for wveryone reading, had to get alot off my chest so its a long post. All the writers are doing a great job i read everyday jut havent been commenting so i want to say all thanks to all and Go Rams..
