Arizona Cardinals
There's a hodgepodge of stuff coming out of Phoenix as we inch toward the draft. Safety Yeremiah Bell is reportedly on the fence between retirement and a 1-year deal. Bell hasn't missed a game in six seasons, the first four being with Miami before one-year stints with the Jets and then Arizona last year. Arizona also could go after Adrian Wilson, having recently been axed in New England, who after 12 years with Arizona is a lock for the team's Ring of Honor...alongside fellow secondary members Aeneas Williams and Dick "Night Train" Lane both of whom played for both the Cardinals and Rams.
Meanwhile, Arizona could well look to the draft to supplement the right side of their offensive line. Cardinals OC Harold Goodwin claimed it was a "make or break" year for both RG Earl Watford and RT Bobby Massie, and outside of some defensive talent, those might be the positions of the biggest need heading into the draft.
San Francisco 49ers
The Niners are still pretty loaded. So don't be surprised when you see articles at Niners Nation like these two, comparing San Fran's top WRs to the rest of the best and analyzing their OLB depth in light of the upcoming draft, taking on a roster much more positively than we tend to do here.
For the fans though, you could argue the biggest story of the offseason is their new digs, Levi Stadium. There are still AA few more months before construction's complete, but it's coming along. I for one expect the Rams to be charitable division neighbors and welcome the Niners into their new home with a road win when we travel to the bay. It's the courteous thing to do.
Seattle Seahawks
We're going to have plenty of Pete Carroll in our lives for quite a while longer. On Friday, he re-upped his 2010 five-year deal with the Seahawks coming off of a Super Bowl victory, the timing of which makes sense for both the employer and employee.
Friend of TST and yet reviled Seahawks devotee Ken Arthur noted how far the roster has come since Carroll's first year in which Seattle ranked 30th in Football Outsider's DVOA metric. And when you can feed your fan base a healthy diet of gifs...well, you deserve to pimp walk a bit I guess.
