Mock Draft: 3 Biggest Needs

1st Round

The Rams trade #2 down to #8 for the Minnesota Vikings 2nd and two 3rd round picks.

#8) Justin Gilbert CB- Tall, big, fast. Arguably the best CB in the draft and a need.

#13) Haha Clinton Dix FS- The definition of what the Rams need at FS and the top rated FS in the draft.

The Rams trade #40(MIN), and the Rams 4th, 5th, and (2) 7th round picks to the Carolina Panthers for #28.

#28) Xavier Su'a Filo OG- Top rated OG in the draft and a huge need. This pick completes the Oline starters and gives the Rams a 1st round starter at their 3 biggest needs.

2nd Round
#45) Deonne Bucannon SS- Yes I went there. Safety is imo the biggest need on the team. There is no depth besides McCloud and I'd rather see him as an emergency back-up. Our biggest weakness just became a strength.

3rd Round
#72) Antonio Richardson OT- Huge mammoth man. Give him some time with coach Boo and we have some quality depth at OT for 2014. No more moving Saffold to OT.

#75) Pierre Desir CB- Local prospect. Small school as you well know. One of the bigger CB's in the draft. He would be better depth than McGee and possibly compete for a starting role in the next couple/few years.

#96) Zach Mettenberger QB- With the signing of Hill, Zach could take a year or two to just learn the system/NFL rather than just being tossed into the action.

6th Round
#188) Seantrel Henderson OT- Many GMs will take him off their board after quitting on his pro day but Fisher has a way of motivating people and Boo is a hell of an oline coach. There's not much to lose with this pick so late in the draft.

comp) Dri Archer RB/WR- He's an "offensive weapon". 4.26 speed. Can line up at WR or in the backfield. Dri could be a poor mans Tavon and be a backup if that "I" word happens.

7th Round
comp) Colt Lyerla TE- Many red flags including possession of cocaine, quitting on his team and refusing rehab. Regardless the kid has skills and if he cleans himself up could be a huge steel.

comp) Jonathan Brown OLB- Depth at LB.

If you hadn't noticed by now I went hard on the 3 top positions of need. Oline, Safety and CB. I traded up many of the picks because imo we don't have the room to add 13 plus players to the team. If the Rams can make their 3 biggest weaknesses a strength with this draft I call that a win. Add in a back-up QB and 2 more weapons for Sam and I'd be one of the happiest guys on the planet. Let me know what you think in the comments. Did I over do it with multiple picks at the same position? Will this give us that push to the playoffs we all hope for? Thanks for the read! Hope you enjoyed!
