I'm not a fan of the early season bye weeks. A later one can be a nice relief for battered players, but you take what you get. What's really tough is that stretch coming out of the bye week, Two games against the 49ers, one versus Seattle, the Broncos, the Chiefs. It doesn't get softer until San Diego in Week 12, but all of those teams made the playoffs last year.

Two prime time games, including a rematch on Monday night with the 49ers. That was easily the Rams worst game of the season last year, and this will be a good litmus test for how ready they are to compete in the NFC West. The front office and players have been ramping up expectations again, so if they get embarrassed, it won't be a good moment for Fisher's tenure in St. Louis.

And once again, finishing the season in Seattle. That stinks. But how nice would it be to go there this year and get a win? The Rams haven't won in Seattle since October 2004.
