Thoughts on Manziel Pro Day

To preface this, TurfshowTimes tweeted that the Rams are bringing in Derek Carr for a work out. He is a potential first round pick. Rams are definitely considering a replacement for Bradford now. Anyway, Manziel ripped it. Over 60 throws and only one of them that hits the ground is his fault? Polian was griping that he wanted to see Manziel throw an out on the far hash mark. Too bad the NFL has no far hash, the lines are right next to each other almost. His mechanics looked great and I especially loved how he can elevate his throws to mitigate his height deficiencies. Overall, this guy is the real deal and at this point I am only really worried that the Texans will be forced to draft him now. However, Jadaveon will be just as impressive in his pro day. Pairing him with JJ Watt would give him a great partner and mentor to work with to ensure he doesn't fall out of line. If the Texans view Mallett as a safer bet and still just as good as this QB class, they could easily trade a 2nd rounder for him and get two great picks with a great hedge on the risk of a bust. Manziel is a star and deserves a definite consideration from us, a this is probably the last time for the next couple years that we will have such a high pick.
