I'm going to put forth an entirely unfortunate draft scenario here, however likely it may or may not be, and request your opinions on how to react, while humbly offering mine.
A Snead/Fisher gambit to trade down is activated immediately and the Rams are on the clock for their first pick, say between the 6th and 8th spots. The following players are off the board, and to make things even more gut-wrenching, the Rams are unable to move this pick down any further. The Rams still retain all their other picks and have acquired another top 6-12 second rounder, and a top 6-12 third rounder.
Robinson/Matthews/Watkins/Lewan/Clowney - all gone - absolutely nauseating, I know.
Where do the Rams go now?. Give me at least three alternatives.
First guy that comes to mind for me, trying my best to marry the value of this pick with at least some degree of need, is Khalil Mack. My second choice would be Justin Gilbert (sorry JJ/Tru, in this case, one of you are going to be moving to the slot), and third is a toss-up between Mike Evans/Marquis Lee/Clinton-Dix.
Tough calls here, and there seems to be no way to avoid some amount of reach, but that's what I come up with.
Now, let's hear yours and/or your thoughts on mine.
