Money is the most important issue in this business. With Gregg Williams back in town, our defense should become a Top-8, if everything goes as planned. How much trade value do you think Sam Bradford is worth?? I like Sam, but do you think he can garner us a Top-10 selection?? Also, with this excess money available from that, could we sign a few players (not superstars) who would help our defense and offense for less amount than Sam could help the offense? Think if Sam's, Dahl's, and Well's money (~$22M) was free to spend. Then we brought in Alterraun Verner and Rodger Saffold for ~$13M of that money. That leaves us some cap space for Robert Quinn's contract? Say we traded Sam to Minnesota for the #8 pick and our first 3 rounds went like this:
1.2 - Teddy Bridgewater QB
1.8 - Anthony Barr Pass Rush OLB
1.13 - Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix FS
2.11 - David Yankey G
3.12 - Charles Sims RB
What do you guys think? We solidify the OL and the defense and give a young, cheaper QB weapons to work with.
