FA & 12 Draft Picks & 53 Man Roster Coming Soon...

Cuts:

- Scott Wells, Reason: injury-prone, old, saves cap money

- Harvey Dahl, Reason: starting to be injury-prone, replaceable at guard, saves cap money

- Cortland Finnegan, Reason: declining as a corner, saves cap money

- Austin Pettis, Reason: the most experienced WR, but the worse of the 5, saves $1 million

- Isaiah Pead, Reason: makes roster space available, headcase for the team, fumble problems

- Will Witherspoon, Reason: not sure if he signed a 2 year deal or not????

FA:

- Alteraun Verner, Reason: hes only 25 unlike Finnegan, Fisher drafted him and Gregg Williams coached him

- Jo-Lunn Dunbar, Reason: must be a small deal since hes familiar with Gregg Williams too

- Shelley Smith, Reason: depth purposes

Draft:

- Round 1 Pick 4 (Trade #2 for #4 and #26 from Cleveland) : Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson

Although the Rams DON"T DESPERATELY NEED another WR, they can take the top one in this year's draft in case Brian Quick does not pan out.

- Round 1 Pick 13 : Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M

I think Jake Matthews falls in the 2014 draft. He shouldnt. But he will. Greg Robinson might surpass him on the big board, since teams only view Matthews as a RT, not a LT. The Rams won't care and they will take him, despite Fisher never having drafted a OT in the first round before. This will change with Bruce's son.

- Round 1 Pick 26: Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville

- Calvin Pryor is soaring up the draft boards, so he may no longer may be available in the 2nd round. The Rams need their own Earl Thomas, so they will take Calvin Pryor.

- Round 2 : Timmy Jernigan, DT, Florida State

- The Rams add rotation to the front line on the defensive side of the ball.

- Round 3: Jeremiah Attaochu, OLB, Georgia Tech

- The Rams add a linebacker since they are limited in numbers. Laurinaitis, Olgetree, Armstrong, and Dunbar...he could potentially challenge Dunbar.

- Round 4: Keith McGill, CB, Utah

- Big, physical corner to bully wide receivers.

- Round 5: AJ McCarron, QB, Alabama

- McGill and McCarron might swap in terms of Round 4 and 5, but I like McCarron despite the drama at the end of the year and the Senior Bowl. Hes a winner. Let him team up with Barrett Jones.

- Round 6: Spencer Long, OG, Nebraska

- Fisher drafts a OT in the first round, and then reverts back to his old ways of drafting offensive lineman late.

- Round 6: Dontae Johnson, CB/S NC State

- He will be the 2nd NC State cornerback named Johnson taken by the Rams

- Round 7: James Franklin, QB, Missouri

- Competition with AJ McCarron.

- Round 7: Andrew Wilson, OLB, Missouri

- More linebacker/defensive end depth

- Round 7: "DEFENSIVE END"

Thoughts???
