Still not sure about Robinson but I see hope

After waking up with my 5 year old at 5:30am this morning, please boy try and sleep in once in awhile I couldn't help but torture myself 2 days in a row by watching the Rams lose a very winnable game. Since we all agree the Rams need to upgrade the offensive line I decided to break down their play yesterday. Gotta start with rookie OT ROBINSON, Robinson had a tough matchup with a very good edge rusher in Pierre Paul who had 10.5 sacks going into the game. Robinson only got beat once on an outside speed rush but had trouble with the inside move a few times. Twice getting holding penalties called, one call was really weak. In fact Robinson got called for 3 holding penalties in the game, the 3rd was on a run play and was a terrible call. Pass blocking Robinson shows flashes of good technique but still drops his head too often and can get caught off balance. I can only hope an offseason to work on technique will fix these issues. Robinson is starting to run block the way we all saw in his film. Can collapse a side opening big holes and with seeing this I'm wondering why Schotty isn't running more counter plays behind Robinson?? Ohh wait it Schotty. In all I see hope for Robinson, needs to see blitzers and stunts better cause he did give up a sack but I'm blaming that on Holl who should of seen it as s veteran QB and alerted the OL.

BARKSDALE is solid and why the Rams havnt already offered him a contract extension blows my mind. Barksdale had a good game yesterday besides a missed stunt pickup which Joseph didn't help much I saw nothing but good things. I got a feeling Barksdale might get expensive which would suck.

Saffold is solid and is a really good OG. Saffold helps Robinson a lot and besides his injury concerns the Rams in my eyes have a player who could be playing in a probowl if the Rams were a winning team but again injury concerns.

now Aaaaahhhhh Joseph, terrible. Misses blocks way to often and if he knew how to double team to LB on running plays Tre would of busted a few long runs yesterday. Joseph also gets pushed back into the QBS face too often. Just fixing the RG position would solve most of the OL issues.

Wells didn't play that bad, I know the snap issues but in blocking not terrible just average, a few blown blocks but Joseph was suppose to double team. Wells is an average at best player at this point of his career.

If the Rams had a RG the offense would of done much better yesterday there were some big plays left on the field that I'd blame on the weak armed QB.play calling to the strength of the team which at this point is the left side of the OL. Would also help the running game.

In the end Robinson still has some issues basically the same issues that were pointed out in the draft, pass blocking and holding. The OL has a big hole at RG but when fixed this OL will be a solid unit as long as the Rams IMHO sign Barksdale, losing Barksdale would be a huge loss to the OL

Trading up for QB Mariota is also a must, didn't think I'd miss thrown that in did you
