The Rams have a Quarterback Problem

Problem. Considering the millions of dollars at stake on the part of the people that man the quarterback position and the NFL teams who's revenue very much fluctuates based on the success and failure of their quarterbacks, there might be a more emphatic word in the English language than "Problem". The Rams, over the life of Sam Bradford's contract, have made huge strides as a team. They have drug themselves from being the laughingstocks of the NFL to the present reality that scares the bejesus out their opponents, while simultaneously sitting below .500 on the season... again.

I bring this up because I'm a masochist and now a sadist. There's no curing what ails us, there's no white knight coming in the form of a Mariota or even a knight of more maligned character in the form of a Winston. We are just screwed. Sam Bradford had his make or break season end before the season started and yet the Rams were too good to be in the running for a real play-maker. There is no hope for our desperate franchise... or is there?

Jay Cutler. Ok, well Jay Cutler? No please don't kill me. I don't know whats going on with Jay and I don't watch enough Bears football to know if the current desperation and anger felt by their fanbase (and possibly their front office) regarding a certain contract extension is due to a team that has declined or due to Mr. Cutler. What I do know, is that he has seemed to be an above average option with the ability to throw the deep ball, who, if surrounded by a run first team with a couple other electric options and not in a pass heavy system, could likely succeed in a Rams uniform.

With this defense and the surrounding talent, we wouldn't really be asking very much of him and the man has talent. I haven't looked enough at the contract to know about feasibility, but what do you guys say? Could the enigma from the North put the Rams over the edge into true contention?
