The Rams put up an impressive 28-26 win over the Seahawks that has them in the running for some weekly awards for only the second time this season.
Back after the week 5 loss to the Eagles, Austin Davis was up for the FedEx Air Player of the Week and E.J. Gaines' cornerback production had him in the running for the Pepsi Rookie of the Week award. Apparently, they neither sent enough packages via FedEx nor drank enough Pepsi, losing to Peyton Manning and Chargers RB Branden Oliverrespectively.
After the Seahawks win, the Rams are sending another rookie for the Soda Rookie award to a match an entry into the Automaker Play of the Week award.
RB Tre Mason's week is up against Buffalo WR Sammy Watkins, Jacksonville LB Telvin Smith, New York Giants WR Odell Beckham, Jr., and Washington CB Bashaud Breeland for the rookie award. So click here and give him a vote in support.
Meanwhile, Johnny Hekker, Benny Cunningham and the special teams unit are up for the GMC Never Say Never which is the weirdest marketing ploy perhaps in the entire NFL stable. They're up against Matthew Stafford and the Lions' late rally as well as Kyle Orton and his last-second touchdown to Watkins. You can give Hekk and the rest of the ST a vote here.
