I figured a time without rams football would be a good time to make my first post and take your minds off what may possibly be an all nfc west championship. When I think about the places nfl teams are in I get a little bit confused. I see teams in Jacksonville, Miami and Tampa bay, all within the same state. If this was like New York, New England and Buffalo I would understand, but given how empty the Jaguars stadium and even the other two teams struggling to sell out why have these teams here?
Living in Toronto I can tell you that this city is in need of an nfl team. If someone were to question the putting a team here I can guarantee that the stadium will sell out every single game. The raptors (constant rebuilding), Blue Jays (never live up to expectations), Leafs(haven't won the cup since 67), and even TFC(never been to the playoffs) sell out all the time. Given how poorly all of these teams have done I consider this quite an accomplishment. I fully understand the reason of expanding to Europe-money, however it creates some other issues. I can also tell you no one here really cares about the cfl and everyone here talks about having an nfl team here.
I see the commissioner considering a team in London when I can't comprehend without a team being here. London would cause a massive division overhaul, with tons of travel expenses for every team and players actually having to live on another continent. Meanwhile Toronto is close to a lot of major nfl cities. Buffalo would be the only city to complain about this, given how half of their fans drive in from Toronto (proof people here want an nfl team). Games being here don't make sense because anyone here with logic knows it costs less to drive to Buffalo and back for half the money to go to one game here.
I can ramble on for a long time but this post is already quite long. Please let me know what you think.
