Pre-Combine Mock Draft

This is the first Mock Draft so please bear with me. This draft is my pre-combine draft and all players are drafted with the current knowledge available.

I believe the Rams biggest needs on offense will be strictly our offensive line. Yes I admit our receiving core is less than stellar, but they are so young! (and will be getting younger in this mock) On defense I don’t think the rams have any glaring needs. However they do arise after the cuts I have made and they will be taken care of in the draft accordingly.

Cuts

Harvey Dahl

Scott Wells

Jolonn Dunbarr

Cortland Finnegan

Austin Pettis

Sign- Rodger Saffold

Trade #1: Our #2 pick will be traded to the browns for their 1st and their 2nd

Trade #2: Our #13 pick will be traded to the Cowboys for their 1st as well as their third round pick

I understand we could get more for our #13 pick, but this is just how I made the draft. Also I do believe with our #4 pick we could trade back again but I refrained from doing so for simplicities sake.

This leaves us with Picks 4, 16, 35, 44, 75, 78, 106, 141, 172, and 203

SORRY FOR THE SOMEWHAT SLOPPY EDIT!

Round 1

#4 Pick: Greg Robinson OT Auburn (6’5 320lb)– Best tackle in the draft, Instant starter

#16: Kyle Van Noy OLB BYU (6'3 244lb) - Imagine two of Alec Ogletree playing alongside Jimmy Laurinaitis

Round 2

#35:.Calvin Pryor FS Louisville (6'2 208lb) – A bit optimistic at this position in the draft but arguably the best safety in the draft and I believe is a better fit than HaHa Clinton-Dix.

#35: Ed Reynolds FS Stanford (6-2 206lb) Again this may still be optimistic at this point tin the draft. but after reading the comments and doing some more follow up research, the chances of Pryor being available at this spot a very unlikely.

#44: Stanley Jean-Baptist CB Nebraska (6'3 215lbs) - Big CB for big WRs. If the Rams are going to keep seeing the likes of Sidney Rice, Anquan Boldin, and Larry Fitzgerald, they will need a big CB. Imagine having 6'2 Trumaine Playing alongside this guy.

#44: Gabe Jackson OG Mississippi State (6'4 340lb) - Took Billikens Advice and made the Swap with Baptiste

Round 3

#75: Gabe Jackson OG Mississippi State (6'4 340lb)

#44: Stanley Jean-Baptist CB Nebraska (6'3 215lbs) - Big CB for big WRs. If the Rams are going to keep seeing the likes of Sidney Rice, Anquan Boldin, and Larry Fitzgerald, they will need a big CB. Imagine having 6'2 Trumaine Playing alongside this guy.

#78: Daniel Mcullers DT Tennessee (6'7 350lb) - A beast. perfect for a 3-man DT rotation. A weight program may be required.

#78: Brandon Thomas OG Clemson (6'4 315lb)

Round 4

#106: Brandon Thomas OG Clemson (6'4 315lb)

#106: Daniel Mcullers DT Tennessee (6'7 350lb) - A beast. perfect for a 3-man DT rotation. A weight program may be required.

Round 5

#141: Brandon Coleman WR Rutgers (6'5 220lb)

#141: Cameron Flemming OT Stanford (6'6 320lb)- Took Billikens Advice and swapped with Coleman However still may be optimistic at this point in the draft.

Round 6

#172: Cameron Flemming OT Stanford (6'6 320lb)

#172: Brandon Coleman WR Rutgers (6'5 220lb)

Round 7

#203: L’Damian Washington WR Mizzou (6'4 205lb)

#203 Marcus Lucas WR Mizzou (6'4 220) - After reading the comments and doing some further research on Washington, He may go before Coleman in the 6th. replaced a big man with a big man.
