My Second Mock Draft

Alright, so I have a couple of far-fetched scenarios happening here. They aren't out of the ordinary in the sense that they are nonsensical but more so unrealistic. So let's get it going:

- My first and primary offseason move would be to trade Chris Long for Jarius Byrd. This is unlikely to happen given Long's history with the team and his leadership. However, look at the benefits. We'd be saving a good chunk of money over the next few years as Long gets paid way more than Byrd will be paid over the same span of time. Also, we fill a huge need at FS and we can subside the weak class of safeties in this class other than to find depth late if we so choose.

- We cut Scott Wells, Kendall Langford, Cortland Finnegan, and Harvey Dahl, Austin Pettis.

- With our newfound cap space from the trade and the cuts, we sign JoLonn Dunbar, Shelley Smith, Tim Barnes, Hakeem Nicks, and Rodger Saffold.

- Now come the draft trades: we trade with the Browns for the #4, #26, and #35. The Browns move up to get Manziel after Clowney was taken with the first pick by the Falcons. We then trade the #4 to the Titans for the #11, #42, and #108. The Titans move up to select Jake Matthews and fill a big need.

#11: Justin Gilbert, CB

#13: Mike Evans, WR

#26: Ra'Shede Hageman, DT

#35: Kyle Van Noy, OLB

#42: Gabe Jackson, OG

#44: Antonio Richardson, OT

#75: Zach Mettenberger, QB

#106: Cassius Marsh, DE

#108: Ed Reynolds, S

round 5: Jaylen Watkins, CB

round 6: Beau Allen, DT

round 7: James Morris, ILB

Now, a lot of people may not like this scenario simply because it would eliminate a serious strength we have at defensive end by trading Chris Long and not drafting Clowney. However, I see this as a great scenario for us. I'd rather be stable across the board with the potential for dominance at various areas than to be dominant at one position and less than mediocre at several. Tell me if see anything less than adequate play at any position.
