....now that the NFL Head Coaching positions are filled?
As far as I can tell a lot of people seem to be dissatisfied with Tim Walton. And maybe for fair reason. Jenkins seemed to regress. The Rams D was worse than the year before. Fisher supposedly had to take over the D late in the year etc. So in my mind Tim Walton has been on the hot seat since the season ended - but Snead & Fisher have been waiting to see how the other teams head coaching / coordinators hiring’s pan out. But now, most of that seems to be over......
So does that mean the Rams might start negotiating with Jim Schwartz?
For me I wouldn't be shocked if it happened. Fisher and 'Jimbo' (I'm making it up but why not?) are good friends. Fisher hired Tim Walton on his recommendation. Schwartz is a better coach and knows the terminology better than Walton. There wouldn't be any drastic changes. Obviously it would be a fairly smooth transition etc.
So - will this happen? Or is there any other unemployed coaching candidate which might be better as the Rams Defensive Coordinator? In my mind fairly quickly - in less than 4 weeks - it wouldn't surprise me if they announce Jim Schwartz as the next Rams D-Coordinator.
