No WR Sneaded

If you take a moment out from your busy thursday and glance over at NFL.com, you might spot an interesting article about the possibility of a Rams taking a wideout in this year's draft. Les Snead reportedly stated that he is happy with the receiving corps the Rams possess, claiming that the Rams can't "have another receiver around here". Of course, Snead may be creating a screen in order to further confuse other GMs (and fans) about the Rams draft ambitions, but if it transpires that Snead sees no reason for another WR to come to St Louis, then what in the world are we planning on doing in this draft?! Who, and in what position, remains a viable possibility? Some possible ideas:

  • Jadeveon Clowney - The front office love DL, and Clowney has more upside than anyone in the past decade. As of yet, Snead has not commented on Clowney.
  • OT - Again, there is no indication that Snead won't go down this route, but history tells us just how unlikely the Rams are to select a tackle. Especially at #2 overall. Especially someone who would likely be a RT for the next 3-5 years....
  • DT - Again, the office loves linemen, and an upgrade over Langford is needed. However, what DT justifies the #2 selection in this draft? Safety could also be added to this category.
  • QB - Not happening. Not only due to all the evidence, but Snead clearly stated his views in a previous interview.
So, where does this leave us??
