You fill out this draft based on ...

I have been reading lately about potential partners to trade down with recently, and have come up with a reasonable yet Snead like draft. When the game against Seattle ended, we knew our draft position as being solid at number 2. Within two days TST lit up with all sorts of scenarios, some ridiculous and some enticing. The dust has settled a little and I still believe it is too early to pencil in the names of players we think Snisher should take. We need to give time to these fine young men to show their skills at the All Star games, the combine, and private workouts... or show their darker shades with DUI's, aggravated assaults or slinging poo in a hotel room. (My personal favorite). What follows are two trade downs by doing research and somewhat having a feel for the tendencies and traits of the teams involved.

First with the number 2 pick we trade to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who under their new coach Lovie Smith, want nothing more than to add Jadeveon Clowney to a D Line thin at rushing the passer. This gives Tampa Bay a shot to boost an already good but poorly coached defense to one of the NFL's top Defenses (potentially) in 2014. To do this they must jump over their NFC South competitors the Atlanta Falcons they give us the number #7, #38 and 1st round pick in 2015.

I am going to jump to our 13th pick and Rex Ryan is speed dialing Les to somehow jump over the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers to take the top Wide Receiver left after Sammy Watkins was picked early on. It could be Lee, Evans, Benjamin, or Matthews..no one knows yet until after the combine and workouts. For this transaction we will receive #18,#80 and#179 or 1st, 3rd and 6th.

I believe for the next few months we will be twisting and turning and debating and agreeing on the athletes to choose, but for now I thought it would be a little fun to imagine a realistic landing place to put all of these fine young men. So here is an exercise in filling out your draft dance card for the St. Louis Rams Rookie Class of 2014.

Here are the numbers, now see what names you can put beside the numbers. This list does not reflect the pick we get from Indy for Jordy as no pick has been determined yet. I will step aside and let the wonder begin. Go TST Go Rams! Be sure to use number 2 pencils and don't look over at your neighbor.
