Jeff Fisher's career statistics... is it time for a change already?

I'm just going to start out with this: I haven't given up on Fisher and Bradford yet, as it is only a quarter of the way into the season.

However, I don't know why we are all so excited about him. Do you know how many seasons he spent with the Titans/Oilers, and out of those seasons, how many his team made the playoffs? He spent 16 seasons with that franchise, and he made the playoffs only six times.

If he had only this kind of success with the Rams in 16 seasons, would this be acceptable with you guys? Not for me it wouldn't. .

Those six years, his teams went 13-3, 13-3, 11-5, 12-4, 10-6, and 13-3. Out of those six trips, he made it to at least the AFC Championship game only twice- winning it once (but losing in the Super Bowl to us of course) and losing it the other time (getting blown out against Oakland, who would get blown out in the Super Bowl by the Bucs).

If he had only this kind of success with the Rams in 16 seasons, would this be acceptable with you guys? Not for me it wouldn't.

He has been the head coach of a team for quite a while, meaning he's head coached a lot of football games. 282 to be exact. In those games, he has been 150-131-1. While that is above .500 (.534 to be exact), it is also the winning percentage almost exactly between 8-8 and 9-7 (which would be .532). This means that his average career is going 8-8 one year, and 9-7 another. Throw in a 10-6 season instead of a 9-7 season somewhere in there once or twice and you've got his average. And I get that .534 is decent for a head coach, but I really don't want to settle for decency. I want a top-tier head coach.

If he had only this kind of success with the Rams in 16 seasons, would this be acceptable with you guys? Not for me it wouldn't.

I say if we do 6-10 or worse, it is time for a complete coaching overhaul. I get that our coordinators (both O and D) suck @#$%, but come on. It isn't like Fisher is Harbaugh or Carroll. Do you want to do anything about Fisher after reading this?

It could be said-what is there to do? Well, we are set up nicely for the draft. Quite possibly, we could have two top-10 picks, thanks to Washington. But I don't want Fisher picking those picks. I'm only throwing this out there as what I think would be a best case scenario- meaning I don't think this can and will happen. Is there a chance? Yes. But is it likely? No. I think if Stan went out and convinced Nick Saban that it is his time to come to the NFL. If we could get Saban, I'd be happy. Either he could hire the O and D coordinators that can capitalize on the Rams pre-existing talent (I'm looking at you, fast but not tall pass catchers) or he could completely change his new squad to be like what he wants it to be- with the help of two very high draft picks.

One last thought I just want to throw out there- how would you guys feel about hiring Brett Favre as Sam's QB coach? Another low possibility, and I'm not sure how I feel about it either. I just want your opinions.

I hope you enjoyed it.
