31's Picks Week 4

Another week and more excitement build up. This was another interesting week for me when it comes to my picks and without the drawn out intro, lets get to it.

Well, this was my worst week that I've recorded so far when it comes to my straight up picks, but it was still average to above average considering who you talk to. As far as my spread goes, I did a bit worse then I did last week, but I I'll take it and hope for better next week. Take a look"

Week Results Straight Up Spread
Week 3 8-8 8-8
Overall 32-16 24-24

As I said above, this was my worst week when you look at my straight up results and I might say it's quite the drop when you consider I went 12-4 just last week. Some upsets would take the excuse for that, I mean who could have predicted the 49ers falling flat a second straight week and the Dolphins beating the Falcons, but then again, that's why we love our football right? As for my spread, I did alright I think. I mean, it could have been a lot worse so I count my lucky stars. So, lets take a look at my picks this week:

Rams vs San Francisco 49ers

This game could very well go either way and I will admit that I am afraid that the Rams will drop another game tonight thanks to the ineptitude that is Shotty, but I'm feeling pretty positive today about our Rams. I'm not much about the doom and gloom that has swept this site and honestly, I think people need to calm down with the sky is falling predictions. This team is still very talented and I'm look for the Rams to come out and show that talent. The key to this game is getting pressure and Kaepernick and making him make mistakes so this offense can get on the field as much as possible. This is another game that this team can not afford to fall behind by a large margin and hope to bounce back. Another key is this Offensive Line has to show that they can protect Sam against elite competition because we face the 49ers and the Seahawks twice later this season and if they can't defense Sam, our playoff ambitions are fuck, plain and simple. The 49ers are going through some trials right now and I look for the Rams to sneak a win past them.

Upset(s) of the Week

Houston Texans over the Seattle Seahawks

I think the Texans are one of the few teams in the NFL who can keep up with the Seahawks talent wise and they are by no means going to just lay down and take a defeat. This game could easily go either way, honestly, but since the Texans are at home I'm give the edge to them.

New York Giants over the Kansas City Chiefs

I can not logically think that the Giants suck this bad, it's just not registering to me. I will say this though, the Giants are the ONLY team in the NFL that I can see going into the playoffs with an 8-8 record and win it all. I think they show that they're not down and out and get a win this week.

Duh Picks of the Week

Indianapolis Colts over the Jacksonville Jaguars

Any team that's going up against the Jags will always be on this list, period.

Iffy pick of the Week

Atlanta Falcons over the New England Patriots

I will probably go back and forth on this pick as we get closer to Sunday. The only reason why I'm picking the Falcons is because of home field advantage.
