I was just over on uni-watch.com and saw this article about a brand new rule in the NFL, that is going to put the kibosh on the hilarious, sad and amazing creamsicle Buccaneer uniform.
That means, to wear our royal blue and gold super bowl/LA era uniforms, we'd have to do something with the existing helmet shell. I think that might be the current practice though, but I can't tell for sure. I also own one of the old Riddell mini helmets from the royal/gold days, and it always bothered me how navy the helmet was, but I don't remember seeing too many Rams games from pre-2000 in NY, minus the magical 99 season to 100% remember if the helmet was always darker or if it was the same shade as the jersey.
I for one would be none too happy if they scrapped the two games in the throw backs, I want to know what people think is the case, or what will happen with the beloved royal blue and gold throw back!
