I am much more an observer than a commenter. I've been "monitoring" this site for about three months but, pulled the trigger and made an account last month. For the most part, TST is free from trolls. A few pop up from time to time, but hey this is the internet. I’m a die-hard Rams fan. Have been since 1987. After a little research I found that my beloved Rams have only had six winning seasons in that span. Let that sink in a bit…
You cannot expect league experts to take this team seriously when they have only had six winning seasons in twenty-six years. That would be what a sane person calls ludicrous. A lot of TST fans have been taking offense to what the experts predict the Rams will do this season. Even more interesting is how fans react to trolls and fans of the other NFC West teams. As Rams fans, we cannot expect experts or fans to take this team seriously until they start putting up more wins than losses.
It is my belief that the Rams organization is making the right moves. We now have an owner that cares. I have my feelings about Georgia. She ripped the team out of Los Angeles and blamed the fans. I feel like she kind of "fell" into the Championship year in 99’. I’m not complaining because the Rams finally captured their first Super Bowl title, but it was apparent that her desire to field a winning team was short lived when the team collapsed only 3 years after winning that title. It’s tough to fill a stadium when the team is not competitive. We have seen similar results in St Louis. This year has boosted record numbers in regards to pre-season fan attendance at camp. This is a no brainer. The Jeff Fisher/Les Snead culture is resonating throughout St. Louis.
Rams fans should be excited. We should stick up for our team, but don’t take offense. The future is bright and the silver lining is most of the experts who dog the Rams this year feel they are one year away. So what do we take away from all of this? Who cares about what they say. I've dealt with this bleak outlook most years while routing for this team. Who picked the Rams to win the Super Bowl in 99’? I sure as hell didn't and neither did the experts.
