I think it's best to start off with saying that I have decided to write an article on my personal observations of Sam Bradford and a little on Kapernick. I'm not going to point out stats this and stats that because frankly you can find them in every other article written by writers suchas Doug, Rg3 and so forth. I've watched him play throughout his college career and I saw an extremely talented quarterback pick apart defense's when he had the time and the weapons to do so and I was happy when he was drafted to the pros and surprised he went 1st overall cause frankly I expected Tim 'can't throw' Tebow to be first over all. I base that on the fact that he was regarded by many to be the best college quarterback there ever was. I expected Sam to be taken somewhere in the first round though but he went to the Rams first over all. Then I learned to respect the Talent that he has all over again because what I expected him to do was to sit behind a quarterback that has been in the NFL for a while to learn the ropes but instead he was thrown to the wolves and it became sink or swim time for him. He was surrounded by less then underwhelming....talent which I use reluctantly. He then had to rely on nothing but the talent that he had to keep him alive and by doing so he took a team that made the Arizona Cardinals look like champions to one game away from the playoff's and he did it with the trash that he was surrounded by now stop for a minute and think about that I mean really think about it some people here have stated that he never elevated the talent around him they must not have been paying attention in 2010 because frankly if he hadn't elevated the talent around him in that year the team wouldn't have been one game away from the playoff's and he would have sunk like a rock to the bottom of the ocean, now fast forward to 2012 where he had some talent to work with and a little time granted not a lot but a little and the Rams kicked butt and took names within the division and didn't do to bad outside of it. I'll say this now that yes the defense played a big part of that but I also think that the offense did too like the 80 yard pass thrown to Givens. I expect great things coming from the offense and Bradford this season and I can't help but think he'll have a big year. I submit to you that if he is given time and is surrounded by talent he will pick apart defenses and I suspect he will do that this year I have observed that he walks and talks with confidence and I just feel that this is his year.
Now lets talk about Kolin Kapernick a little bit shall we. There are a lot of people proclaiming him the next great legendary quarterback lets step back for a little bit. I think he is a talented young man who can run and throw the ball but is he the first to ever do that no he is not Michael Vick can do the same thing only he did it better I submit to you that if he had been thrown to the wolves like Bradford was in 2010 he would have sunk, people have forgotten that he sat behind Alex Smith a Quarterback that was severely misused by the 49ers like Bradford almost was. Kapernick only became a starter when Smith became hurt and unfortunately for Smith and to the delite of Harbaugh I suspect Harbaugh will be paying a price for that decision this year and the following years. I believe that everyone has crowned him an elite QB prematurely because frankly he didn't impress me it was Smith not Kapernick that got them to the playoff's and a lot of defenses were prepared to face Smith not Kapernick so they were caught by surprise but that won't be the case this year not by a long shot 2012 was not Kapernick's prove it season because he only played in 9 games which a full season does not make he will impress me if he takes the 49ers to the playoffs this season because this is the prove it season for him and I suspect they will fall short of that.
