It's here, the moment you've been waiting for: the NFL announced complete dates and times for its 2013 preseason schedule. Alright, preseason jokes aside, I'm always pretty geeked up to get my first in-action look at the St. Louis Rams. This year won't be any different.
Here's the schedule for the Rams' four preseason contests this year.
At Cleveland - Thursday, Aug. 8, 8:00 p.m. ET
P.S. tell the front office not to take ANY fuel rebates Browns owner Jimmy Haslam offers.
Vs. Green Bay - Saturday, Aug. 17, 8:00 p.m. ET
The Packers came to the Dome last year. It was actually a reasonably competitive game. Maybe our backups can exact a little revenge on their backups.
At Denver - Saturday, Aug. 24, 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS
Play Peyton Manning, get a nationally televised game. Of course, there's exactly a 0.000000000000001 percent chance that Peyton will play a preseason game.
Vs. Baltimore - Thursday, Aug. 29, 8:00 p.m. ET
Yikes, that's not much turnaround time between games. Last year, Fisher played his starters, most of them, into the second quarter of the final preseason game. Michael Brockers suffered a high ankle sprain when one of the Ravens' linemen landed on his leg. The old regime used to give most of the Week 4 reps to the guys battling for position on the depth chart and a roster spot period.
And there you have it.
