I am sick and tired of all this Amendola nonsense. I like the guy just as much as anyone else and I do think he is a good WR but to think that he is the sole reason that the Rams may draft a WR in the first round is just idiotic. It is just so frustrating reading articles of how much the rams need to replace Amendola’s production. Do they understand that he has missed some 20 games over the last two years. They are not trying to find his replacement, they are looking to just add additional weapons for Bradford. I know I’m probably going against the grain on this next comment, but I think Austin or Patterson are not the answer either. I would rather draft Cooper or Warmack with the 16th pick. Damn it, please finish off the OL and picking one of them would do that. I honestly feel both will be available at #16. If I had my choice it would be Cooper. He is the better pass blocker and I’m sick and tired of watching Bradford get his ass kicked every other game. With pick 22, that is if we don’t trade it, I would pick Hopkins. He has good size, good hands and is turnkey. A decade ago or so when I was a young lad I remember watching the draft and the Rams picked a WR who really showed nothing elite but was just good and produced. His name was Torry Holt. Not extremely fast nor tall, just a damn good WR. I don’t want the sexy pick that everyone is in love with (Austin) and I don’t want the next Mike Mamula(Petterson). If you don’t know who he is, look him up and you’ll understand. I guess the point I’m after is……pick someone who is polished and ready to play now.
