To the surprise of no one, the St. Louis Rams are not interested in New York Jets third string quarterback Tim Tebow. A Tuesday report from the New York Daily News puts St. Louis out of the mix as a potential suitor.
Scratch Rams off list of possible destinations for Tim Tebow. St. Louis, rumored 2 be interested last yr, won't be trading for him, I'm told— Manish Mehta(@MMehtaNYDN) April 9, 2013
Just how much interest the Rams ever had in Tebow is not clear. That rumor first started last year, before the Jets and Broncos agreed to a deal. It smelled exactly like an agent or a team trying to drum up interest in a player to get a little more leverage out of a situation.
The rumor got some new life over the weekend when Pro Football Talk published some unwarranted speculation about Tebow's potential to land with the Rams. That PFT post even went so far as to suggest that Tebow would be an attractive option for the Rams to game plan for mobile quarterbacks like Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick. We debunked that ridiculousness.
