With the emergence of the pistol offense and its early success in the NFL, should St. Louis join the party? Or least have a package or two to jump start the offense? With Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson running about it might be wise of the Rams to add that dimension to their offense. Yes, Sam Bradford is the starter QB, but this may very well be a make or break year and adding some competition to the position could do him some good.
With that I present to you former Arizona Wildcat QB Matt Scott, he provides a dual threat that with a strong arm and the ability to tuck it and run and put some moves on defenders. Although late in his (RS) senior year he dealt with a concussion with the big hits he's taken through out the year he's been dependable and durable. At 6'3 200 lbs here's a look at his statistics passing and running....
With recent "rumors" well if that's what you wanna call it, the Rams apparently might have interest in Tim Tebow. I feel this a better route to take, grooming a young dual threat at QB.
In the case that Bradford does have a stellar year which we would love to happen, Scott could turn into trade bait in a couple years or at the very least a very dependable back up who can run the wildcat offense. He needs some work, definitely, but might be worth the time to develop him at a mid to late round pick and could help immediately on the scout team to help better prepare for the scrambling quarterbacks on the schedule.
