Every time Austin Pettis was targeted in 2012 (via RamsONDEMAND)
- Good Route Runner
- Above Average Hands
- Good Red Zone Threat
- Knows where the first down marker is
- Makes the first guy miss
- Can Play outside or slot
- Does not use his height as an advantage
- Drops occasional pass
- Shys away from contact
- Not a Big Play Threat
- Does not get great separation (May have something to do with a lot of his catches coming over the middle)
Overall I liked what I saw from Austin Pettis in this video. If he continues to improve I believe he could get 6-8 touchdowns next year and about 40 or so catches. From this video I counted 6 passes that hit his hands but he did not catch along with a few great grabs. One thing I liked is that Bradford seemed to look his way on fourth down which is good since Gibson is now gone. I do not think Pettis will become a number 1 receiver but I think he could be a reliable number 2/slot receiver.
What do you think of Pettis from this video?
