Ok guys, nothing too special here. No one really knows who will be drafted where in the upcoming draft. But I got to thinking beyond trying to pick which specific players will go where and to which team, and just decided it might be interesting to project how many players from each position might be picked with the first 62 picks of the draft.
I sat down and came up with the following list of positions that I think will be picked in the first 2 rounds and how many I think are worthy to be chosen from each position group:
9 WR's, 9 DT's, 7 DE's, 7 LB's, 7 CB's, 6 OT's, 5 QB's, 5 OG's, 3 S's, 3 TE's, & 1 RB.
I haven't done any research for historical context or anything like that. I just looked at the players available and came up with this list.
I am curious as to what other TST'ers think as to which positions will be picked the most, least, etc...
I find it interesting that, even though the talk has been about how underwhelming the WR class is in this draft, the WR position will probably be the most represented position through the first two rounds. I came up with 9 WR's that I don't see making it out of the 2nd round.
Anyway, just curious as to what you guys think the positional composition of the first two rounds of the draft will be.
