Hey you bums, it's your old friend Try (aka 'That F*cking Niners Fan') from down the road at Niners Nation. Our fearless leader set up a community mock draft for the month of April, with a few picks announced every day leading up to the big day. Rather than make some arrogant picks of my own based on what I think you guys need, I figured I'd help myself not sound like a jackass when the draft comes along, and ask you guys what you need at 16, 22, and 46. I'm certainly more versed with the Rams than most, but by no means do I know the inner-workings of your roster like you do (or as well as I know the 49ers), so having some insight to the current state of your draft hopes would be awesome.
Based on the unpredictable nature of other people's picks, I was hoping you guys could give me some twofold information:
1) Areas of concern. I have you guys pegged as needing Inside OL, Safety, OLB, and WR (in that order). I know a lot of people are under the impression that the Rams will go WR (likely at 22), but for some reason, I have a feeling that they'll find WR value later on, possibly at 46. That's why I'm asking though.
TL;DR - Major areas of concern (Regarding specific positions, I'm also asking for specification - rather than just "Safety", I'd be looking for "FS" or "SS", or just "Coverage oriented" or "Box oriented". Same goes for OLB, "3 Down" or "Pass Rush Specialist").
2) Specific draft crushes at 16, 22, 46. If there are a few guys with specific talents that fit a BPA instead of a Need-based selection, please let me know! Certainly, you guys have some holes to fill, but if Tavon Austin (for instance) was available at 22, would you prefer that I select him rather than fill a need?
TL;DR - DRAFT CRUSHES for specific picks, BPA style.
Thanks guys, I look forward to representing you well.
