Also, from Bleacher Report: (click on link)
I found the tweet in the "Latest Tweets" section of the site "overthecap" (Please click on the link)
This means that Steven Jackson will officially become a free agent on March 12.
I liked the idea of getting a scoop for a change (and posting it) before the front page writer's could get it posted!! (I succeeded!!).
This voiding of the contract means the Rams now officially gain 7 million in cap space. Hopefully, the Rams will continue negotiations with Jackson and retain him!!
I just added a poll (missed doing it in my haste to get this post up). Please vote to give input on these latest developments.
Wish I could have two polls!! Instead, I will just ask the question: If the Rams can't bring Jackson back, what should they do??? Stand pat with Pead, Richardson and Ganaway??.....Try to sign a FA such as Chris Ivory or Ahmad Bradshaw???......or draft an Eddie Lacy, Le'Veon Bell or Knile Davis type???
According to the report of Jackson's comments, it wasn't about the money.......it was about what his reduced role would be in 2013.
March 8 Update Interview With ESPN:
Today's interview is an interesting view from him on voiding his contract, the negotiations he had with the Rams and where he would like to end up.
