So much depth in this draft!

Looking at the list of Safeties in this draft is frightening. I big things in Elams future and I also think Viacarro is a great

as well. I don't think Viacarro is worth the first round hype he is given. I have been

on the Elam bandwagon all year though. Those two are first round picks all the way. After that is when it gets

interesting. I don't see any major differences in the players at the safety position later in the draft. A guy that stuck

out to me at the combine was Shamarko Thomas, and not just because he fell on his face durring his 40 yd dash! He looked explosive

and very fluid in all of his drills. I think he is an under the radar guy that we can get in round 3-4. Check out his

highlights.

Here's some more info on him.

Shamarko Thomas, S, Syracuse
Height: 5-8. Weight: 213.
Projected 40 Time: 4.42.
Projected Round (2013): 2-4.

3/9/13: Thomas helped his draft stock with a strong week at the East-West Shrine. He was very physical with running backs and receivers down field. Thomas showed nice hitting ability to go along with an aggressive style of play. The senior totaled 88 tackles, three forced fumbles and two interceptions this year.

Thomas was excellent at the Combine. He put up one of the fastest 40s for any safety prospect. Thomas did well in the other field work and bench press. He really stood out and continued his strong postseason.

Thomas had good tackle totals as a freshman, sophomore and junior, but didn't record any interceptions and only had five passes broken up over those three seasons. He needs to work on his pass coverage, but has some developmental potential.

I like this guy a ton. It will also give us a chance to grab some WR or O-line help in the earlier rounds.

To sum it up, this draft is loaded with same level talent. Mississippi State has some D backs that are very talented as well. Johnathan banks is a bigger corner who I see going in the 2nd or 3rd. We can never have to many playmakers in our secondary. I could see us grabbing one of them to help sure up our secondary for the likes of Boldin, Harvin, Fitz, Crabtree and all the other superstars in our division can land!
