With the news of Louis Delmas coming into Rams Park for a visit, most around Turf Show Times believe it is a done deal. However, according to Jim Thomas, the Rams have offered a low tender to Darian Stewart. This means that the Rams have the right to match any offer given to Darian Stewart, and receive a draft pick. However, Stewart went undrafted out of South Carolina so the Rams will not receive a draft pick if someone else matches the offer. Another thing to consider is that the tender is for 1.3 mil, which will account towards the salary cap if another team does not match his tender. The Rams can still renegotiate a contract with Darian Stewart, most likely 2 years according to Jim Thomas. While Stewart made a bunch of big hits, he also missed a ton of tackles and was therefore beat out by Dahl last year. I'd reconsider if Delmas is actually a sure thing, with this under the radar move by the Rams, although it could still be a high possibility the Rams sign Delmas.
