A Dream that became a nightmare

Stay connected for news and updates

I fell asleep last night thinking about the moves the Rams could make this offseason. My thoughts manifested themselves into a very vivid dream that quickly turned to a nightmare. Having awoken in a hot sweat I tried to piece together exactly what had gone wrong….

I had been thinking about whether Snead is willing to make a splash this year and weirdly enough in my dream I was talking to him about it. He was sipping on a Diet Coke telling me he had a plan up his sleeve to bring the Superbowl to St Louis quickly. He wanted to use the teams draft picks and trade them for PEYTON MANNING!!?? He claimed that he saw Manning as the perfect roll model for Sam Bradford and that he was the missing piece.

Fast forward to the season and in the first play of the new season Manning ate turf (difficult to do at the Edward Jones Dome). Manning left the pitch for the last time and Bradford had to continue to battle with a limited OLine and a very young receiving corp. When I was lying awake thinking about it I came to the decision that the Rams need help and that this is where I need help. How much realistically is Jake Long going to command in free agency? Surely with Paul Boudreau we would get to see the early career Long and hence have a solid tackle combination for the foreseeable future.

If the Rams pick up a Safety, tackle and a wide receiver in free agency surely we can pick up a solid guard and OLB leaving the following year to make a real move if any very strong Wide Receivers are available!?
