Hear me out here.
Look at Philly's offensive set up the last couple years (skill position wise). This is based on potential, plus athletic ability and some positive projecting on my part. This is one of the few seasons I've been really excited to get into since and not all that worried about the Rams falling flat on their faces (7-9 then 2-14, I dunno how I made it through that heartbreak of a season).
We could possibly look very similar. At RB, Pead and Richardson are comparable stylistically to McCoy and the Ronnie Brown/Bryce Brown backfield employed under Reid.
WR our 1 and 2 as currently positioned are Givens and Young Sr. both of whom have styles and explosive athleticism like DeSean Jackson (Givens) and Jeremy Maclin (Young).
TE I don't think Kendrick is altogether similar to Brent Celek, but as far as statistical production, it's not too far off and I'll take Lance as the 6th O-Lineman on running plays every single day.
The biggest places I believe the Rams are stronger and better set up is along the O-Line and of course with Sammy B. If we do infact grab a G and RT in the draft, or even just get year of continuity on the line, there's no chance we're nearly as bad as Philly's line has been, in both run and pass blocking.
The biggest difference is clearly Mike Vick to Sam Bradford. I really think he's on the doorstep to a productive season even with the skill position guys we have currently. I think a 63% completion, 4000 yard with 26-30 TD's and 12-15 picks is well within the realm of possibility, and while he doesn't have Vick's incredible arm strength and athletic gifts, he's a far superior pocket passer who is far more careful with the football.
All in all, I think there's a chance we could have a really big turn around on offense, and if we do get a legit WR, LG and RT all in one offseason, the NFC West and entire NFL will finally notice our Rams! Top 10 D plus an explosive offense, sounds good to me! Go Rams!
